2011 Steam Summer Sale

If it's short like the first one was, or a little longer but still under 10 hours, then $25 is still too much for portal 2.

It's much much longer than the first Portal. Can't remember if it's over 10 hours (it most probably is), but it's worth that price just for the humour. It's definitely one of the funniest games of this century!

Got what I was waiting for Portal 2, as well as Terraria which looks pretty good and the Sam n Max games, loved the originals games

What's the Portal 2 digital book thing? The Final Hours

I loved the first one even if it was a bit short.

10 hours of quality gaming at 25euros ... It's more than perfect for me :) I'm happy.

The damages this year for me :

- Alpha Protocol

-Darksiders

- Hoard

- Bioshock 2

- Portal 2

I'm loaded for the summer with this ****.

Edit : If they do an encore of Oblivion, I may be tempted to get it. Should I ?

It's a book about the development of Portal + Portal 2, really good read.

Yep it was awesome, I got it for my iPad 2 and really, really enjoyed it. Super interesting stuff.

Portal 2 at that prices is an absolute steal. If you don't have it, get it. Fantastic game, both singleplayer and co-op campaigns. Easily my favourite game of the year so far. The "Portal 2 - The Final Hours" is also a really great read too.

Then I'm sold, bought it for 75p

So far in the sales, I've bought...

Nothing! I'm actually a bit proud of that. :p I'm awfully tempted by F1 2010 though (I'm a little interested in Dead Space 2 as well, but I haven't even got around to playing the first one! :p ). It's not perfect, but I know there's plenty of mods around to fix some of the big issues, especially the graphics, to make the game more vibrant and realistic. I'm just not sure about the gameplay bugs. I heard there was a patch released to fix them, but I also heard that the reception to the patch wasn't that positive.

What does everyone on here think about it?

wow, the book thing is an incredibly small download, but I still have over 10hrs left for it to download, steam must be getting hammered. I am currently getting 0bytes/sec and has been stuck like that for ages. Restarting steam does nothing :( Portal 2 has 11 days left. Not bad for a 50Mb connection :)

Terraria will be mine :D Only ?1.49 damn!

They've now jacked the price up to ?2.99

Change the download region in Steam's settings to change servers. I'm using Frankfurt, and my download speeds have been reasonable.

    • The FIFA World Cup is not US centric.
    • It’s amusing how Microsoft is pushing IT admins as if this was a major, game-changing update. In reality, it’s just an enablement package that bumps the build number, which is disappointing compared to the more substantial 22H2 and 24H2 releases. Technically, 25H2, 26H1, and the upcoming 26H2 are essentially the same, differing only in support schedules. They could have included the Windows K2 improvements here, but chose not to. The era of Windows being in the backburner continues, and this 26H2 release feels like an afterthought. Shame, Nadella, shame.
    • Microsoft, totally not confusing /s 25H2 - Current for non-Arm based Windows 26H1 - Current for Arm based Windows 26H2 - Only for non Arm Windows
    • After I installed those, my older but capable Win 11 laptop (16GB RAM) reported it as 26H2 26300.8697. Then I installed it on my big laptop (128GB RAM! Hehe sorry), it reported it as 25H2 26220.8690. Ugh. Do I have to switch Insiders channels from Release to Beta?
