I cannot believe House is almost over for good. :( I will be so sad.

Did anybody see the episode yesterday? It was great. Such a range of emotions. I think House and Wilson's bromance is cute. The end was especially hilarious when House left those pictures on Wilson's computer.

Judging from what we know of the future episodes, I'd wager you can expect more of that type of feeling from the final three episodes.

So what do you all think of the episode that aired last monday? and the way it ended?

what i think:

I think that the face house gave was made for us to expect the worse and the tumor/cancer is worse, but i think the face house gave was because he's in shock that its completely gone and nothing there, i dont think they'd kill off wilson

My thoughts exactly.

well dammit, i dont like not knowing whats going to happen ,ha.

so i bet him and house go on the run :p and disappear for good, end of the show :p

and then next year they'll redo Prison Break 2: The Run of House.

ha

i didnt expect to see olivia wilde, i don't think she's an as amazingly beautiful actors as people seem to think, but gotta admit her character has been very important to the show.

Not a bad idea, but judging from the preview, that doesn't really seem likely...

Maybe House gets arrested on purpose in order to make Wilson feel obligated to live for when House gets out.

Never mind, that doesn't make sense. He clogged the drain before his other attempts to sway Wilson.

Goodness, this past episode was filled with emotional ups and downs, lol. I knew that Wilson's cancer was going to be worse because the other way would have been too obvious. Now how is being sent to prison for six months while Wilson only has five to live? I don't know if he will somehow get out of it or what. I think he will tell Wilson he loves him and that he will show real emotion. Wilson will probably die, and House will end his addiction issues, in an after-thought type of deal. Who knows though, really. These writers are amazing.

What a shock! The whole episode was ups and downs and frustrations! Now that house finally kept his deal of sticking with Wilson decision he's going to be sent to jail? Damn it!

Next episode is last, I wonder how it goes, i heard it's a double (80 min?).

Yeah, it is, 2hr special, so they say but really 80mins or so. I think House, being House, will try a prison break that goes sideways into yet another near death experience for him that probably finally puts everything into place and maybe takes some of his anger/rage at life away.

I wanted to smile, but I was too depressed. It was nice seeing Cameron again. Too bad Cuddy didn't show...but it worked fine without her I guess.

I thought it was odd her not showing up and makes me think that Lisa Edelstein left on bad terms. Of course, it could also be a scheduling conflict.

In the show, as close as her character was to House, I think she would have made time to go to his funeral.

So can someone (in spoiler tags) summarize how it all ended?

I stopped watching last season, but I am genuinely curious to hear how it all ended for good.

TIA,

DL

Wilson has cancer, only has 5 months to live. House lashed out in his usual way, but this time it backfired and he caused a lot of damage to the hospital. He is going to jail for 6 months, won't be able to get out until after Wilson dies.

House starts treating a patient who is a drug addict. This patient has ALS and will die soon too, so he tells House he'll take the blame for prank. They end up together in some warehouse where the patient OD's, and somehow the building has caught on fire. House is left alone to die. So he starts hallucinating people he's been around for years, but it is merely his subconscious trying to get him to try and find a way out. But he's given up.

Wilson and Foreman figure out where he is and as they get there, the building explodes. The EMTs pull one corpse out of the building, after the fire is put out and the corner confirms it is House's body. There's a funeral for him and a lot of former cast members return to pay their respects and give a eulogy.

While Wilson is speaking, his phone goes off. It is a text that simply states Shut up. Or something like that. Then you see Wilson arriving at his apartment where House is sitting the steps. They take off for 5 months of doing whatever they want.

Foreman figures out House is still alive because House left his id badge in Foreman's office.

Oh man, I never thought I would be so upset when a TV show will end. At least not after Stargate... This episode was great, the ending was epic.

I really thought for a minute that House actually died, but when that phone started ringing I got a big smile on my face, almost involuntary. :D

Beautiful. Fantastic TV show, amazing actor and great writers. But, like all great things, it must come to an end...

    • This sounds like underneath the nice marketing spin, either someone at Adobe got tired of their lazy devs and asked Microsoft to help them sort at least some of Adobe's ancestral spaghetti code to make it go faster, or Microsoft wanted Adobe's crap to run better on Windows to make it look better when compared to Apple, so they offered to intervene. Either way, GOOD.
    • My favorite file manager for Windows 11 finally gets a long-requested feature by Taras Buria Files is among the best File Explorer alternatives for Windows 10 and 11. This free app is packed with all sorts of features and conveniences, but there is one crucial feature that is still missing—Tree View. Fortunately, the latest update in the Preview channel finally delivers it. With version 4.1.4, which is now available for download in the Preview channel, developers implemented Tree View, a new mode that displays folders in an expandable hierarchy. Windows 11's stock File Explorer always had this feature, but it was nowhere to be found in Files until now. Starting with the latest preview update, you can expand each drive and its nested folders without leaving the current location and then open the folder you need in the main view. To try Tree View in Files, update the app to the latest preview version, then click the small arrow next to a drive to expand its content. The developers say they are rolling out Tree View in Preview first to gather feedback from users and improve the feature before bringing it to all in the stable channel. In addition to Tree View, Files 4.1.14 improves the Windows Fonts folder. You can now preview each font directly in Files with no need to open the built-in font viewer. For now, these two features are only available in the Preview channel. For those using the stable release, developers recently released version 4.1.3, with improvements for the built-in tag system, on-demand folder size calculation, and plenty of various fixes. You can check out the full release notes here. You can download Files from the Microsoft Store (paid version) or its official website (free).
    • Who is paying for this 30x scale-up? Its sounds expensive.
    • Millions of users to benefit from Windows 11's new performance boost on Adobe Photoshop by Sayan Sen Despite the advent of AI-generated imagery, Adobe's Photoshop remains one of the most popular tools on this planet. Adobe does not have a publicly reported total user count but it's probably not wrong to assume there are millions. As of 2025, Adobe Creative Cloud has had approximately 41 million paid subscribers, many of whom likely use Photoshop. In addition, more than 166,000 companies worldwide are apparently also using the app. These figures are according to a very recent report by SQ Magazine. Out of them, it is fair to assume that many are probably running Windows. As such, there is good news for these users as Microsoft has announced Photoshop is getting a big 20% performance boost on x86-64 (AMD64) systems and a 13% bump-up on Arm devices. This is definitely great news for them as many have complained about the slow performance and general sluggishness of Photoshop on Windows 11 ever since the advent of the latter back in 2021. If you are wondering how Microsoft managed to do this, the answer lies in a combination of compiler-level optimizations and a technology called Sample Profile Guided Optimization (SPGO). According to Microsoft, Adobe worked closely with the company’s Visual C++ team and adopted the latest MSVC toolchain enhancements together with SPGO to squeeze more performance out of Photoshop’s CPU-bound workloads. Unlike traditional Profile Guided Optimization (PGO), which requires developers to create special instrumented builds and run lengthy training workloads, SPGO gathers performance data directly from optimized release binaries. This means Adobe could collect real-world usage information which gives a major advantage to this technique, as companies could leverage data collected from actual customer workloads rather than only relying on synthetic benchmark runs. In theory, this should allow optimizations to better reflect how users interact with software in the real world. Thanks to this, there are improvements to code layout, function inlining, hot-and-cold code separation, and other low-level tweaks that help processors execute instructions more efficiently. Essentially the compiler is better able to identify “hot” code paths, those which are most frequently executed, and optimize them accordingly.
