Jon Fitch vs. Johny Hendricks Agreed to for UFC 141

After trying unsuccessfuly to lobby for a fight against BJ Penn or Nick Diaz last week, Jon Fitch finally has his next date to enter the octagon.

The UFC welterweight contender will return to action for the first time since February when he takes on Johny Hendricks at UFC 141 on December 30.

The only way Fitch is getting a title shot is if he finishes Hendricks impressively. Hendricks's last loss was to ex-top contender Rick Story, who lost his status by being beaten by Charlie Brenneman, whose most recent loss is to... Johny Hendricks. Fitch better get a finish soon or he's going to stay in contender limbo forever.

You can hope but it's not going to happen. It's almost like betting against GSP. Johny Hendricks is a good fighter but he's not on Fitch's level by any measure. Fitch is going to grind him to dust for 3 rounds, get the UD and kiss his title shot goodbye yet again.
