It says it is a Mozilla compatible browser. But that doesnt mean it is a Mozilla browser. To prove that it uses IE, got to Windowsupdate.com and it will run. If it was Mozilla it would not run at all and it would tell u to download IE. Also, AOL had its own seperate browser but I believed they switched over to IE around version 3.0 or 4.0 of AOL but now it is still IE in 7.0

The registry tags and browser identification strings are used primarily to bypass "browser sniffers"... thats all... doesn't mean sh1t imo.

eg: In TopStyle (a css editor) available from Bradsoft you can define the what it identifies itself as to the webserver... because some servers are configured to only allow connections (or display pages) to certain browser(s) versions etc.

Exacly you just cant write off the large numbers of people of who use AOL's own browser. Just becasue we would never use does not mean others will not. If so I would just in IE!

I know for a fact that the this browser screws up the tables or something but I cant be sure how to fix it if I cant view it for myself.
