Digitec pushing Windows Phone in Switzerland

Digitec, a major online retailer in Switzerland, appears to be pushing Windows Phone quite hard according to their mobile prospect for October 2011. Giving two pages (at the front of the prospect) to the HTC Radar and Samsung Omnia W, which both look superb.

Good. Retailers play a major part in adoption and is a major reason for the lack of success of WP7 so far. Hope the UK sees a similar push, you wouldnt know WP7 exists walking into most stores atm

I agree 100%, at least this time MS has sent out a number of sales reps to different carrier stores and so on to get their own sales reps to look at WP7.5 and actually know about it instead of being totally ignorant.

Or when you do, they try to void you off WP7 to iPhone/Android. I had to ask the sales rep to stop talking about them in order to get my WP7.

I think they do that for a few reasons, first off they probably know jack about the platform so they can't actually talk about it at all, ignorance to it's fullest. Second they probably get some nice bonus for selling you a shiny new iPhone or some top of the line Android model vs the WP devices.
