Max Payne 2 Minimum System Requirments

Recommended Posts

For minimum, these are pretty damn demanding.

From Official Max Payne 2 site:

MINIMUM SYSTEM SPECIFICATIONS

1Ghz PIII/Athlon or 1.2Ghz Celeron/Duron processor

32MB AGP graphics card with hardware transform & lighting support

256MB RAM

1.5 GB hard drive space

Windows 98/ME/2000/XP

DirectX 9.0

Keyboard and mouse

:o

I do have higher then all of that, but thats pretty demanding I think. Anyother games demanding something that high???

Sim City 4 actually requires more than that if your city gets large enough... but that's kind of off topic ;)

I'm not sure there are any games out presently that have minimum sys requirements like that, but I'm more than pretty sure Half-Life 2 and Doom 3 will come close to those, if not go over.

Doom 3 and Half Life 2 are going to crush those sys requirements, those are only slightly demanding, they're not that bad at all though, my computer will run this, but prob not HL2, don't get so worked up.

You do know right that hl2's gfx engine is scalable with a huge range of hardware, from tnt2 onwards, just that you may not get all the beauties if you don't meet the recommended req's.

My system 'just' meets those requirements  I hope I can play it, since I'm not sure when I'll get myself a new computer or an upgrade

pathetic requirements. pc hardware is so cheap now you can build a 1.8ghz/512mb/40gb/gf4ti system (including monitor, the works) for under ?500. if your upgrading then its no where near that. i want games wto display min specs to play it at a minimum of 30fps average, not so that it *just* runs. if it said 1.5ghz then i'd be thinking of upgrading (hl2/d3/q4).

i got my new PC Gamer magazine

and they said that the min specs for doom3 are

1ghz p3

geforce 2-up

forgot how much ram

and they said that a "big Hard Drive" will be required

 i wonder how big

The minimum requirements for Doom 3 are actually,

P3 1 ghz

512 megs ram

Geforce 3 and up

3 GB of hard drive space

Half Life 2's specs are not high since it's very scalable.

P3 500 mhz

DX6 or above compatible video card

256 megs ram

2 gb hard drive

It's recommended is,

P4 2.5 ghz

Radeon 9500 and up

512 megs ram

Max Payne 2's is nothing special. Most games are starting to require a minimum of 1 ghz. And a 32 meg graphics card is low.
