opps forget it i got it. i tried it again with replacer just to be sure, n it worked! yay!

AMAZING SET!!!

why do i need to replace the iexplore.exe explorer.exe, url.dll, etc??

if i have a different version of Iexplore for example i might get problems i think? or i can replace all the files with no problem?

These files (iexplorer.exe, explorer.exe, url.dll, etc) contain icons. If you don't wish to have these icons changed, there is no need to replace them. :)

I don't think there would be any problems replacing the files, even though you have a different version. Suppose you have a version that is higher than the one included in this set. Most probably your file contains updates or bug fixes. Replacing it with the one included in this set (which is of a lower version) would at most result in a loss of such updates or bug fixes. Again, if you are worried about the consequences, just don't replace the files. Or you can back up your files before replacing them, and see how it goes.

I really like the GANT package, but it would have been nicer if you had included all the icon sizes in the shell32 file. The current file only goes up to 48x, and is a bit useless for those with 64x and higher icon sizes.

Aside from that, great job!

for those who have trouble with Replacer!

download this and place it together with your icons.. boot in safe mode ..then run run.bat file! ( undo incl. )

a quick and esay way.

note: if you run run.bat more than once... you can no longer undo your last change!!

Hi Everyone!

Just hoping someone could help me with a little  problem that has crept up.

I've installed the icon set using both replacer and the safe mode method. Neither has given me the results we expect. I have icons in IE, and a new screen when downloading and when selecting where to store things on a drive.

But nothing else.

My bigger problem is that somehow it has fubar'ed my IE installation. I cannot download any files now; I am simply prompted to accept the file (this is after clicking a link), but file only shows up as "compressed zip", with no filename, and the file doesnt actually download on to my computer. I hope that wasnt to cryptic for you, but its the best description I think I can give.

Any know what in god's name happened, and how I can retify this?

Thanks in advance

The fact that there is a change in icons (Start Menu, IE, etc) and animation (move, copy, download) shows you've correctly replaced the system files. But the error or problem you're facing with IE is rather puzzling. Did you verify that your default shell32.dll file is of the same version number as the one in this GANT pack?
