MrA
I'm in the market for a new phone, specifically a dumb phone with Bluetooth (so I can sync contacts with my computer). I'm interested in a phone with four features: 1. Making and receiving phone calls 2. Sending and receiving text messages 3. Syncing contacts with my computer 4. Thin (and NOT a flip phone) These are the only features I care about. Every additional feature is a negative. Any suggestions on a phone? And for those wondering why? I've owned 5 smartphones in the past 3 years, my current phone being a Galaxy Nexus (that I got less than a month ago). But I feel that having a smartphone all the time is somewhat of a distraction and a mental burden. I just want to be able to disconnect from every trivial little thing and going the dumb phone route seems like the right way to go. No email, no web browser, no apps, nothing. +Mirumir 1 Share Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/1052271-whats-a-good-dumb-phone-with-bluetooth/ Share on other sites
Pikey
How about one of the cheaper touchscreens? Something like my LG KP501 perhaps ... works well enough for me anyway!! articuno1au
Anything made by Nokia imo. Their computer->Phone tools are superb. You can text from your PC and have it sync and send from your phone. +Mirumir Subscriber¹ Posted January 18, 2012 Subscriber¹ Share Posted January 18, 2012 how about a built-in MP3 or radio? Still no? heh imho, it's hard to beat Nokia's simplicity and Motorola's reliability of their entry-level phones. Check these out: Nokia 100 Nokia C1-01 Nokia X1-01 plus many others Motorola WX306 Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/1052271-whats-a-good-dumb-phone-with-bluetooth/#findComment-594591247 Share on other sites

Muhammad Farrukh
X1-01 doesn't have bluetooth. Have a look at C1-01 X2-02 Asha series X2-05 C2-01 C2-01 . . . OR choose from these http://www.gsmarena.com/nokia-phones-f-1-8.php Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/1052271-whats-a-good-dumb-phone-with-bluetooth/#findComment-594591275 Share on other sites
MrA
Hmmm. Honestly, I never considered a Nokia. It never popped into my mind (I've owned Sony-Ericsson, HTC, Samsung, and Apple phones), but some of them do look like what I want (albeit a bit too featureful :p). I guess I have to add one more requirement, quad-band GSM. Looks like there are plenty to choose from. I just have to cave in with my requirement of having little to no features. Believe it or not, that's about the feature set I'm looking for. Simple and to the point. The iPhone 5 looks like it could be what you're looking for as well... I dunno. I think Apple's regressed a bit on the design with that transparent case. It looks a bit tacky. And the 64G is a bit too advanced for me.
