I was afraid of dogs. I've never been much of a dog person myself, I like cats so much more, but when I was about 8 y/o I was attacked by a dog, nothing serious, in fact I hardly think it was an attack; I was just in front of it leanning down to scratch it's head and it pulled a front paw hitting my upper lip.

I am quite afraid of dogs too. I had a similar attack but nothing happened. But its not injuries that matter but the act of agression. So now i dont respect them i just hate them...except for cutie puppies and some nicer breeds of dogs like huskies, german sheppars, grey hounds. Anyway i too dont cross the street when i see a dog, but whenever there is one walking behind me where i cant see it, i get very scared. Or whenever one bites at me.

The biggest fear i would like to overcome though are fear of heights and speaking in front of bigger crowds :p

As for OP....awesome story! Glad you are doing something you enjoy in a location you love :)
