you might have to wait much longer than the face of alonso is right now. :p

Adrian Newey has erred before. Remember the McLaren MP4-18? A car designed by Newey for the 2003 season which never made it to a race.

Vettel can be hampered by a sub-optimal car sooner than you think.

how pathetic is alonso? discuss...

getting gifted everything, another race everything is going for him since lap 1...

but still... you cant beat DA MAN....

VETTEL 3 TIMES WORLD CHAMPION!!!! AWESOME RACE AND AWESOME FIGHT!

Well at least you predicted one winner correctly this year.

Great race! Alonso raced incredibly well and I would have liked to see him win after he crashed out undeservedly in a couple of earlier races but Vettel deserved the championship.

Not as pathetic as the constant anti Alonso crap you're posting in this thread. You're a one track pony (and this is coming from someone who cannot stand Ferrari)

Great race. Brilliant way to end what has been overall a decent season.

Vettel was very lucky to finish. Also i don't think it was Senna's fault. Vettel turned in late and just didn't see Senna there.

Alonso once again drove well but like i mentioned earlier, i didn't want him to win not after the stunt they pulled in Texas.

Also feel sorry for Hamilton, he drove well and i reckon they deserved the 1-2 finish as well but Hulkenburg dropped it, which again i would consider a racing incident.

Did anyone find the podium funny? usually they spend a lot of time there listening to what they have to say. Instead we got coverage of some FIA guy batter some photographers.

I don't think anyone on Skysports mentioned Button won it

Agreed - 2012 was one of the best seasons I've seen. (For the record: I've been following F1 since 1982.)

Alonso would have deserved the title. Despite what mclaren2 keeps saying the Ferrari was the worst of the top cars this year. 2nd in the WDC is more than anyone at Ferrari would have expected after the disastrous winter tests.

Lastly, farewell to Michael Schumacher. The three seasons at Mercedes GP were unfortunately not what he or the team expected. We shall see what he does in the future.

Best race I've ever seen in the past 7 years I've been following Formula 1.

I was rooting for Alonso, but at the end of the day the better car and driver combination won. I'm very surprised that Vettel's car managed not only to make it to the end, but also not suffer from any sort of lack of pace. Credit to him for fighting from the back two races in a row into good positions, giving him the title. A deserving world champion regardless.

Ferrari did very well to finish second in the constructors championship, they had the third best car this year, sometimes the fourth.

I'm looking forward to the last season of the V8s next year before the introduction of the V6 turbos.

Well, nobody says that Vettel won cheating.

When Vettel overtakes Kobayashy, was with yellow flag

Also he had 4 "friends" ,Webber(Normal), Vergne, Ricciardo and Michael

And having the fastest car he needed all of this :/

So sad

Regarding the yellow flag incident, I don't think anything will come of it. It was yellow and red all the way round, which doesn't prevent overtaking. There were yellows also during the middle-last sector...so no overtaking. Then they went green just before the pit straight, so Vettel lined up a pass on Kobayashi and committed to it. Then they went yellow again during the progression of the pass. Plus Kobayashi also pitted, so the place couldn't have been given back, and also Vettel would have gotten the place anyway.

You can clearly see on 2th pic that already was yellow and it remained ALL that lap

And Javik, the were 2 flags, one yellow and red that do exactly what you say and the yellow one ;)

During the post-race analysis by Sky Sports F1 when they used the slow-motion, there was a green flag between the two yellows.

LOL, so in case of green, yellow and yellow-red flag you can do what you want?

Well it doesn't matter now, but i wanted to post it to see opinions

im yet to find a single situation in which webber helped vettel more than alonso. at the start he went so much inside that alonso had it easy on the outside and vettel had to brake very hard indirectly causing the crash with senna a bit later on.

after the restart in lap 30 webber again did the best to support alonsos title challenge (like he did since abu dhabi 2010 - im so glad redbull put their support behind vettel in that race) going totally outside in the first corner to let alonso through on the inside.....

the yellow flag discussion is a new low light i think. they threw everything against vettel in that race, he still delivered. and now, despite even pat fry from ferrari said that these were no yellow flags, its still going on.

race result has been confirmed officially, so ferrari cant protest anymore anyway....

vettel has had a very difficult year and i have never seen a driver doing what he did in abu dhabi or today in interlagos under such immense pressure.people still claim he cant overtake but it was alonso who needed massa continously slowing down to keep in contention. having said that he still didnt thank massa for his support in the race.

And what about the others friends?

And what about the others friends?

yeah ricciardo is a real supporter of vettel, as seen in abu dhabi where his stupid brake-test nearly ended vettels race.

i am not surprised that schumacher did what he did - i was fully expecting this from the race start on, he lost his adviser position at ferrari the day alonso arrived there and prefers vettel over alonso, maybe because he knows which driver has more potential for the future.

and schumacher was saying that he didnt want holding up someone in the wdc challenge. probably would have done the same had it be alonso behind him.

today alonso had everything served on a golden plate - again. rain, safetycars, mclaren shooting themselves again, massa slowing down by 3 or 4 seconds every 10 laps to let alonso pass, vettel crashed out had to race with heavily compromised car and setup and loss of engine power, wrong tire strategy, car to pit radio not working, .......

Could you please just stop blathering on about Alonso for 10 seconds and actually contribute something to this thread? It's becoming tiresome.

As for the lights:

They weren't flashing, therefore they were there to serve the same function as the red and yellow flag. No cheating.

Both us us were wrong;

Ferrari want to establish whether there is enough evidence to lodge a protest that, if successful, could overturn the result of the world championship.

Ferrari are "evaluating footage" that appears to show Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel making an illegal overtaking move in Sunday's Brazilian Grand Prix.

Fernando Alonso lost the title by three points to Vettel after finishing second for Ferrari and the German seventh.

Governing body the FIA refused to confirm whether it was investigating.

Red Bull could not be reached.

I have a feeling the result probably won't be overturned but even more drama?

Good old Ferrari  I have to say, I struggled to see anything resembling a bloke with a green flag until I went on Youtube looking at the super slow-mo videos... and they're not convincing one way or the other.

I'd expect Vettel to keep the title, simply because turning it over more than 3 days after the race finished would cause a lot of bad feeling and press.

It's a hard one to call.

On the one hand it would cause a lot of ill feeling, but on the other they simply have to uphold the rules, even if the evidence that one was broken does come retrospectively. I'm with you I don't see the evidence being clear enough to prove that the rule was broken, so I will wait with baited breath to see how this one turns out.

Can someone update me on this?

I thought it was already confirmed by the marshals that Vettel didn't break any rules and overtake under an oil flag (steady yellow light). Brundle said that on Sky.

So how could Ferrari dispute anything if it was already confirmed Vettel did nothing wrong?

    • Dude, it's a .reg away from a permanent modification. If you're a power user, look it up and keep the .reg and stop being a crybaby expecting MS to include customization for everything on a generalist OS. The default is what's the best UX for the majority of the userbase, non techie people.
