[Windows 7] Disable "X application has stopped working" dialog?

Recommended Posts

Hello.

I would like to disable "X application has stopped working" dialog completely.

I know why I get these dialogs since I play games with tons of add-ons or trying to play incomplete downloaded videos and applications tend to crash.

Also, games like Fallout give you a a full black screen until you press "close the program" in the dialog when they crash.

Any ideas?

You can.

I'll find the script, give me 5.

Use Regedit, navigate to the below path:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Windows Error Reporting\DontShowUI]

Create a DWORD and set the value to 0.

We do it for unattended server applications all the time.
