I thought we knew this at the beginning of the season? Why is it being announced again now?

I was absolutely certain that before season 8 started, it was announced that it was going to be the last season - or that Hugh was leaving at the end of the season which essentially means the same thing.

In the case of House they have milked that titty so hard and for so long. Hasn't produced milk for 3 years and now the titty is just raw.

A titty seldom comes single.

The upper management at Fox must be ****ED, the only way to end a show on fox is fr it to be cancelled at the worse possible time.

I can see it now House movie in 2014

Lie to Me comes to mind again...

Why is it the worst possible time? I say it's the best time to **** can the show. It's gotten VERY long in the tooth!

Because even though the show isn't as good as it used to be, it's still bringing a lot of viewers (and Fox only cares about getting viewers)

That's just how I see it.

If you cancel all the shows that some people say are on their "way out" quality-wise then you'd lose a lot of your favorites in 3...2..1!

I always feel weird seeing comments how something shall end. If some still enjoy it, why take it from them?

That's just mean.

It's easy to switch the channel or turn off the TV, not so much with getting a cancelled show back with new original stuff.

There are many shows I watch that are simply out of habit. I can't remember the last good episode I saw of One Tree Hill but I've seen them all. If they cancelled it, I'd be more than understanding, and that's coming from an actual fan.

One Tree, who what? I think you're in the wrong thread! LOL

After a few seasons it was becoming stretched. To be honest I though it picked up with the mental home twist where 'old tricks' became fresh again in a different situation. Personally think he should have stayed there longer with a slower transition out. Also the short prison stint could have lasted longer -again it was a bit of new life in an old show that seemed to blow over, in all honest it could have been a whole series in itself. Make me wonder whether they knew a while ago it was going to end at the end of the series and consequently have started building up a story line towards the end.

I saw it coming... me and my wife have watched every single episode starting from the pilot...but this season we just can't get into the show (we're still watching it but it's almost painful :/)

After much debate about it, mainly be saying perhaps we should give it a chance still, me and my misses actually gave up after the first 2 episodes of this season. Literally have not watched an episode since. So yeah, I think it is time, and perhaps was as others have said, after Season 6.

I will say they have zero to be ashamed of. Truly one of the better television dramas to ever grace the small screen, so my hats off to them for creating such an amazing show to begin with. (Y)

Yep, my wife and I speculated about the ending of the series after House gets out of jail, we watched one or two episodes after that and then stoped. It would've been nice to keep him in jail to make it more interesting but it went downhill steeply.

It was one of the best shows. Hope Fox can fill the gap with something good.

Spin of or some kind of variation? This is just too much of a cash cow to let it die with dignity.

Although Chase, Foreman or Taub doesn't quite have the same ring.

Agree, but I really don't see what they can come up with.

    • Just the price of doing business. The scamble to pull as much from the web as possible is happening, and it's happening before a case like this changes how or what is legal do to with AI in terms of data harvesting. But even then as we've seen with the likes of Google who ignore cookie requests and just accept the fact they'll get fined, it's built into their business price model now. AI is here, its not going away. Their reward if any from the court case would be best suited to trying to incorprate AI or licence their end points as authentic human verified content. The problem is, as we've seen these same news papers are using AI themselves.

    • This Chinese company is reportedly developing a feature Apple and Samsung can only dream of by Hamid Ganji While companies like Apple and Samsung have been relatively conservative with their devices’ battery capacities in recent years, Chinese manufacturers have taken the competition to the next level by introducing significantly larger batteries. However, the latest report from China suggests that a local company may already be developing a smartphone with a whopping 14,000mAh battery. Chinese leaker Digital Chat Station claimed on Weibo that a smartphone maker is developing a device with a 14,000mAh battery. If true, it would be the largest battery ever used in a smartphone and could, in theory, provide up to a week of battery life on a single charge. The leaker did not reveal the name of the company behind the device, but there are some clues. This week, HONOR unveiled the X80 Pro Max in China with an 11,000mAh battery and 90W wired charging support. The company also launched the Honor Win in January, which packs a 10,000mAh battery. HONOR, a former subsidiary of Huawei, has a proven track record of developing smartphones with unusually large batteries. However, other Chinese brands, including Xiaomi, have also launched devices such as the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max with 7,500mAh batteries. Though Chinese users on Weibo also believe the company behind the new battery is HONOR. Interestingly, Digital Chat Station said the device with the 14,000mAh battery weighs around 220 grams, making it lighter than the Apple iPhone 17 Pro Max (233 grams) and slightly heavier than the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra (214 grams). The iPhone 17 Pro Max currently packs a 5,088mAh battery in eSIM-only versions, while the Galaxy S26 Ultra features a 5,000mAh battery. Neither device is expected to see a dramatic increase in battery capacity in its next-generation successor. So when it comes to battery comparison, Chinese brands are unbeaten. HONOR smartphones are currently available in the EU, but the Chinese brand has no official presence in the United States due to restrictions imposed by the U.S. government.
