blizeH
Hi guys, My left mouse button on my Microsoft mouse seems to be very flakey now and won't register clicks all the time like it should. I was wondering what the best value (ie an awesome mouse for ?40 is fine, but a good mouse for ?15 would be better!) mouse is right now. For what it's worth the left mouse button gets a lot of use, so something that either has nice RSI prevention features would be awesome! (also preferably something that isn't ugly, like those really bulky two tone Logitech mouse) Thanks Damn, an Apple mouse is tempting now I think about it, but will a lot of the features work in Windows 7? StrikedOut
I would just go to your supplier of choice and filter to mice, wired or wireless, select a decent brand (Logitech or Microsoft would be my preferd) sort by price and take your pick. Stick with a quality brand and you should be fine. The only issue I ever have is trying to judge the size compared to my hand for comfort. MFH
The Magic Mouse might work, but it's not officially supported. If you want a multitouch mouse, check out the Microsoft Touch Mouse (or others, there are several mt mice)? Steven P. Administrators Posted February 10, 2012 Administrators Share Posted February 10, 2012 Microsoft hardware is always good value for money. I still use the Wireless Laser 6000 mouse after my mouse from the entertainment desktop 8000 broke (Microsoft sent me an alternative mouse and desktop for free) as they discontinued the 8000 set. I gave away what they sent and started using the 6000 laser mouse again, along with the 8000 keyboard which I've had for years. In short mostly good quality and their customer service is amazing. TEX4S
Any decent mouse will be tested for something like 20,000,000 clicks - So, forget about "pretty" - get a Performance MX - and be done with it. blizeH
Thank you all so much guys, it's actually the Laser Mouse 6000 that I have right now, that isn't working correctly :( I tried the MS support site (thanks for the heads up on that) but unfortuantely it wouldn't accept the PID. The performance MX mouse looks good but it's rather pricey. ?65 for a mouse? Hmm. The M500 is tempting, or a Microsoft one. What are the Razr mice like? Thanks again! Ambroos
Microsoft has indeed got excellent customer service. After I had two keyboards of a type break on me within normal use (always a few keys that stopped working) they sent me a completely new top-of-the-line desktop set. And I love their hardware, would never buy anything else personally. blizeH
Thanks, I did try the Microsoft support site but it wouldn't accept my PID, so no chance of a return :( Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/1057232-best-value-mouse-lots-of-left-clicking/#findComment-594649880 Share on other sites
