Survival/horror/RE style games?

Cleared out old PS3 games and now i'm looking for something new, i'm really into the first resident evil and would love something like that, does such a game exist for PS3? (don't say RE5).

Something thats hard work, with puzzles, requires thinking, scare elements, etc.. It must go beyond the whole 'walk here, scene, press x, scene, walk here, scene, shoot guy, scene, press o, scene, walk here, scene, game complete'

Any suggestions?

I don't play many horror games, but those ones stand out for me (along with Resident Evil of course).

In the whole RE series, none of them came close to the original for edge of the seat tension.

Oh I'd forgotten about that one. Decent enough game I thought, although I see to remember having serious issues with the rigidity of the scenarios. There didn't seem to be multiple ways to do things, it was always "do it this way or die."

It does look like a good game but i hate stuff like that its the sort of thing i want to avoid.

Also looking at Skyrim, i know it's not a horror but been told it is a really long, deep game.
