Scorbing
Are you trolling!? That was the BEST one. I agree. Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country was good...Not the best...But it was good. To me, Star Trek II and III were the best. PeterTHX
Direction wasn't the only problem as Shatner had directed before in TOS: there was a writers strike, Bennett had to be dragged back into the project, the budget was tight so they hired non-union truckers & the Teamsters retaliated by getting friendly pilots to fly over the location sets, and because of ILM they did a lot of the effects themselves in-camera on set. Bran Ferren's (ex-Disney) effects company Associates and Ferren did the rest. It's lucky to have even been shot. ILM had no involvement with STV. Producer Ralph Winter felt they cost too much, plus he was butthurt by the "Co-produced by Industrial Light & Magic" credit they got in STAR TREK IV. The only ILM shots in the film are stock shots from STAR TREK IV: the shuttles approaching Spacedock and the Enterprise inside Spacedock during Scotty's log entry. After the disaster Ferren delivered they were sure to get ILM back for THE UNDISCOVERED COUNTRY. +Frank B. Subscriber² Posted February 14, 2012 Subscriber² Share Posted February 14, 2012 Star Trek V? It's a myth, similar to the Matrix sequels people claim to have watched. :shiftyninja: Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/1057740-star-trek-v-the-final-frontier/page/2/#findComment-594653912 Share on other sites
TheLegendOfMart
Yes. 1 and 5 are jokes. 3 was sort of weak. Even number Trek films are great. Except Nemesis, of course. You do know that 'Shatner' in your sig is actually a lookalike and not actually Shatner?
