Currently I have my corsair XMS pc 3200 at 454mhz and 2-7-3-3 for the timings @ 2.8v is that too high for the ram considering the stock is 2.6v?

i use mine at 2.75v @ 200Mhz.

237MHz...x2 (454Mhz)..hmm at a 1 to 1: RATIO?

2-3-3-7. with 2.8.... impossible. I don't believe you.

i didnt even notice the frequency, i just thought he was asking if 2.8v was too high. oops :pinch:

whoops my bad...after instability I had to tune it to the new 2.5-8-4-4 but yes I do have it at 227x2 which is 454mhz @ 2.8v

I don't know what BTX is but I am getting some Corsair XMS this coming week. I plan to see how far my sytem will go with it. It will largely be dependant on cooling. I have several fans in place keeping things relatively cool with the settings I currently have. It has been the fastest settings I've run so far.

BTX stands for Balanced Technology eXtended. It will replace the current ATX format. The motherboard is basically upside down and backwards. It will also have thermal modules to cool the cpu and agp card first before all other components...kinda like how a G5 is designed with thermal zones. here is a report on it from anandtech BTX format Information
