Does anybody know if Chrome has been updated to stop crashing the rMBP yet?

Google disabled some stuff until a permanent fix is found. I think.

Yea, .Neo's right. The crashes are apparently caused by a fault in the Intel HD 4000 drivers that Google has worked around for now.

Thanks, was waiting for two people to say so before installing it. Shame it's not retina enabled yet :(

So they decided to use the Discrete Graphics instead until a fix?

It's retina enabled in the dev channel.

Don't know. I only use it for a few specific things, and I force my graphics card with gfxCardStatus.

Definitely not worth using yet. This is what happens when you fullscreen a flash video! You get non-retina functionality.

Aaaah! Happy Wheels is good stuff! (Y)

Glassed Silver:ios

But ?9.99 is close to the price mark of 20 dollars. And the date posted was before the price was announced. I'm not a cheap skate, I'm happy to pay for the same retail price as Lion, I was just saying it'll be cool if it was priced lower, which was more then enough a given because of the new 1 year cycle.

Anything is better then paying ?80 ~ ?120 for Windows 7/8 Professional.

Actually, ?9.99 isn't a close conversion rate at the moment. The price conversion comes in at almost exactly what Apple's pricing it at... ?13.99. (although the conversion is actually a little over ?14)

That's weird I'm not having those issues at all. I wonder what is causing it.

Edit: and I just saw your latest post with the answer..

I don't have that problem in either Chrome Dev or Safari.

You're right about the framerate in Chrome though. It's horrible. Especially compared to Safari 6's buttery smoothness.

So is Mountain Lion ready for release tomorrow? I would think Apple would have said something by now if the 25th was the official release... Are we going to see this pushed back to August?

Release date will probably be announced a few hours from now at the Q3 '12 earnings conference call.

You can listen to the audio webcast at 2:00 PM / PT here.

Why would they need to say anything in advance?

    • Thanks free chatgpt. The issue is, with most browsers, is you shouldn't need tools to remove anything. It is the whole point of extensions. The only browser so far to man up and be honest that it needs money to function is Brave Origin. Don't like the monetisation and code bloat, have a clean browser for a one off $ charge. Firefox used to be that, but now it is a code bloat browser, hiding AI.
