Ok, the other day I upgraded my eMachine 633ids Celeron from Windows ME to Windows XP and after It got done upgrading I got this screen before the boot screen comes up saying this....

Hardware Profile/Configuration Recovery Menu

This menu allows you to select a hardware profile to be used when windows is started.

If your system is not starting correctly, then you may switch to a previous system configuration, which may overcome startup problems.

IMPORTANT: System Configuration changes made since the last succesful startup will be discarded.

Orginal Configuration

Orginal Configuration

Please select one and press ENTER.

To swtich to the last known good configuration, press "L"

To exit this menu and restart your computer, press F3

I am wanting to know how to make this from not showing up again, I always select the first one but this is annoying, Wondering if anyone knew how to make it from quit showing this? Would appriciate any help!

My Computer --> Right-Click --> Properties ---> Hardware --> Hardware Profiles

Remove from this list, the hardware profile you don't want. Once you only have 1 listed you will no longer see the screen when you startup your computer.

If you have spare time. try to clean install your windows xp again... It work better with clean install

I agree on that one.

Clean install is always best as you can have stuff ups. The upgrade option is good for when you want to check it out. To use it, do a clean install using NTFS format during the install process.

Cheers and have any issues, you can guarantee Neowin can help.

Cheers man
