Hi All

I have installed Teamviewer in ubuntu 10.10 (not through wine but as a debain package), there is an option in Teamviewer that saves the sessions and connections logs, where can i locate those logs, i am looking for the path in ubuntu

Also is there any other log files i can access to determine the remote sessions to and from my ubuntu machine, Ive checked the one in Ubuntu i.e system >administartion>s system logs, but under auth log and any other log category they reflect logs for only last two days not extended logs. like a month or two back

Any help on this Guys???????

On my computer (Debian) Teamviewer logs and settings are saved in the following location(s):

Teamviewer 6

$HOME/.teamviewer/6

Teamviewer 7

$HOME/.teamviewer/7

Your home folder is full of hidden folders for user specific settings for all of your software. Since most software is ran as you, and not root, you don't have write access to the installation location of the software or /var/log, so a .software folder is created in your home folder. Kind of like the hidden folder C:\Users\username\AppData in Windows. In Linux/Unix, any folder or filename that begins with a period is hidden from view. If you check the option to "Show hidden files and folders" in whatever file browser you're using, and then go to your home folder, you'll see a ton of hidden folders with personalized settings for all of the software you've ever ran under your username.

Hi Budman/ gerowin

I found the logs in $HOME/.teamviewer/6 dir. Apart from this, where in /usr/var/log/ can be the logs for remote sessions by teamviewer. which folders or files i mean. I am attaching the screenshot of my directory below. Can you please point out..

post-431588-0-91658600-1329909545_thumb.

My log files are kept in $HOME/.teamviewer/7/logfiles. As far as I know, nothing is stored in /var/log for Teamviewer on Linux. Since it looks like you're using Teamviewer 6, there's an identical directory for version 6, $HOME/.teamviewer/7/logfiles . These folders are symbolic links to other locations that are several layers deep, but browsing to them will get you to your log files.
