show system file types in folder options

in the folder options applet in control panel, certain file types are not shown (dll, com, exe), probably to prevent stupid users from seriously screwing up their computer. but i'm not stupid, and i would like to edit these file types. does anyone know of a way i can show these file types in this list?

I'm not sure if there's a program that will enable this.
