Original story follows:

EA has officially revealed Medal of Honor: Warfighter.

The follow-up to 2010's Medal of Honor was previously confirmed as being in development, and a logo was teased in Battlefield 3's instruction booklets. Now, the first details have been confirmed.

Official Xbox Magazine (via Game Informer) reports that Warfighter will be developed by Danger Close, the same studio behind Medal of Honor from 2010. The game will follow the story of Tier 1 Operators and will run on Frostbite 2, the same engine as Battlefield 3.

Medal of Honor: Warfighter is set to be released in October. More details are set to be revealed at the Game Developer's Conference early next month.

I wonder if they are going to completely reinvent the multiplayer portion of the game again. It doesn't seem like DICE will be in charge of it this time and who can say if that's good or bad at this point. The sky is the limit considering how bad the last one was, though.

I guess they won't use Unreal Engine 3 this time around for the campaign. I always thought it was weird that they used two engines for the game. One for the campaign and another for MP (Frostbite 1.5).

Medal of Honor: Warfighter to feature co-op support, one shot kill mode

Medal of Honor: Warfighter will keep its authentic roots in check, according to OXM, with the shooter to come with co-op and a one shot kill mode.

The mag (via CVG) says the game?s story will be based on actual events from soldiers, with stories written by Tier 1 operators during mission downtime.

Operators are rep?ed on an international basis this time round, featuring SAS, the German KSK, the Polish Grom and the Australian SASR.

Preacher, Voodoo and Mother are some of the characters that return in the game, with one location mentioned that players will visit including a flooded Isabela City in the Philippines.

Warfighter launches this October for PS3, 360 and PC.

thanks for posting this, liked the previous Medal of Honor and will get this one. it's too bad the online community dried up so quick on the 2010 game, it was a nice alternative to COD.

It was a great game but the multiplayer was pretty awful so hopefully this new one will be much improved.

Damn, that trailer was amazing. You can definitely tell they used Frostbite 2. I'm sure the campaign will be good but I'm not so sure about the multiplayer portion. It was somewhat enjoyable in Medal of Honor, but not as good as other well-established video game series (namely, Call of Duty and Battlefield).

I don't think last one was that bad TBH. I still play MP from time to time (if I find players :) ) and I still think, despite all the bugs and 4-5 hour campaign it was a solid one.

I think this one will be much better. They learned from mistakes and have had ample time to make this one right.

Multiplayer in first one had issues without a doubt, but overall it was still enjoyable after a while. The whole sniper, 1 shot 1 kill (even in the leg) was stupid, but they patched it a bit later and it was much much better.

I mean the MP had it's own identity compared to COD and BF3. It was a mix of both and in a good way.

I really am getting pretty sick of these quick cut hollywood trailers. I mean you can make pretty much and game or film look good like that.

Well that's the whole point, EA don't want to put out a trailer to make a game look average do they?

When I say that kind of trailer makes the game look good I mean, "good". It hides behind the fast edits, pumped up music and ends up looking just like any modern set fps game; bland, unintersting and average.

    • Just the price of doing business. The scamble to pull as much from the web as possible is happening, and it's happening before a case like this changes how or what is legal do to with AI in terms of data harvesting. But even then as we've seen with the likes of Google who ignore cookie requests and just accept the fact they'll get fined, it's built into their business price model now. AI is here, its not going away. Their reward if any from the court case would be best suited to trying to incorprate AI or licence their end points as authentic human verified content. The problem is, as we've seen these same news papers are using AI themselves.

    • This Chinese company is reportedly developing a feature Apple and Samsung can only dream of by Hamid Ganji While companies like Apple and Samsung have been relatively conservative with their devices’ battery capacities in recent years, Chinese manufacturers have taken the competition to the next level by introducing significantly larger batteries. However, the latest report from China suggests that a local company may already be developing a smartphone with a whopping 14,000mAh battery. Chinese leaker Digital Chat Station claimed on Weibo that a smartphone maker is developing a device with a 14,000mAh battery. If true, it would be the largest battery ever used in a smartphone and could, in theory, provide up to a week of battery life on a single charge. The leaker did not reveal the name of the company behind the device, but there are some clues. This week, HONOR unveiled the X80 Pro Max in China with an 11,000mAh battery and 90W wired charging support. The company also launched the Honor Win in January, which packs a 10,000mAh battery. HONOR, a former subsidiary of Huawei, has a proven track record of developing smartphones with unusually large batteries. However, other Chinese brands, including Xiaomi, have also launched devices such as the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max with 7,500mAh batteries. Though Chinese users on Weibo also believe the company behind the new battery is HONOR. Interestingly, Digital Chat Station said the device with the 14,000mAh battery weighs around 220 grams, making it lighter than the Apple iPhone 17 Pro Max (233 grams) and slightly heavier than the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra (214 grams). The iPhone 17 Pro Max currently packs a 5,088mAh battery in eSIM-only versions, while the Galaxy S26 Ultra features a 5,000mAh battery. Neither device is expected to see a dramatic increase in battery capacity in its next-generation successor. So when it comes to battery comparison, Chinese brands are unbeaten. HONOR smartphones are currently available in the EU, but the Chinese brand has no official presence in the United States due to restrictions imposed by the U.S. government.
