I guess it is culturally different here, tall people in Canada are not any different from short people or any other height.

Shouldnt worry too much, what else can you do, accept it and embrace it.

Yes it is very difficult to find clothing for us tall people but thats just another step you have to do to find it.

Good luck.

Every time i accept it, someone comes and say " please don't walk with me, i look really small with you ", lol.

Midgets would be a powerful weapon. Like Oddjob on Goldeneye N64, no one was ever allowed to pick him because he was harder to hit. They could also fit into small tunnels and be virtually undetectable as offensive scuba divers. Do not underestimate a midget army! They might not be the vanguard, but trained in the art of sabotage, they are a force to be reckoned with. Ninja midgets.

Teenage mutant ninja midgets

I've never minded the height, though you just have to get used to hearing the phrase "Could you grab that for me please?". I'm 6'4" (technically I'm a touch under), but the only real time I found it bothered me a bit was when I was younger. I went through my growth spurts early and was my full height by 9th grade at least, but over the years people have caught up to me.

Like you said though, it varies from culture to culture though. In North America I've found my height to be fairly normal, or at least nothing too tall compared to most I see walking around but visiting certain countries I definitely stick out like a giant. Personally I'd rather be taller than most as opposed to being shorter; mainly comes down to i prefer being taller than the girls I date.

Most of people here said they only found their height trouble when they were younger, i hit 6'2 when i was 15-16. I used to be the tallest guy in my school.

If i go by culture, My height is very good ( Punjabis are known for their height and strong build ).

If i go by nation, Its a curse, Because in rest of India even 6 feet is too tall.

If someone says something offensive about your height, ask them when they are due to hit puberty.

lmao! gonna do that for sure. :D

Im 6"5 and have had people, stare, ask me how tall im am and follow me about. Then theres all the other stuff like the bus and leg room. Being tall is a little trying at times, but tbh i love it.

The growing pains when I was young werent fun tho. Dont know about anyone else but my legs were really bad.

Just a hair shy of 6' 2" barefoot and easily 6' 3" in shoes. That plus being very muscular (was a solid 240 lb defensive tackle) and wearing size 15 (5x wide) shoes makes buying a wardrobe a real challenge.

Of course my wife is just 5' 2.5". She married me to have access to top shelves ;)

At 19 I was 6' 7", and at 65 I am 6' 6" (gravity). The thing I disliked about being this tall in High School was everyone thought you should be on the basketball team. . .I hate basketball. Now as a golfer I like the little extra height because it allow me to get just a little more tortgue when driving the ball.

Where the **** do you live?

Im 6"5 and i barely even notice how tall I am unless I walk past a mirror with someone i'm so used to it. Occasionally some drunk fool might laugh at me or something but why the **** would I care? I'm 6"5 so ill just squash him if i wanted hahaha

6' 6" here. With a number of scars on my head. Mostly from walking into door frames etc.. when drunk.

Although I apparently don't look that tall from a distance. People say if I am just standing I look normal height unless there is someone or something next to me to make it obvious or they are up close. Not sure how this works exactly as it isn't really something I can see/test myself but a number of people have said it.

I'm 6ft 5 and don't mind it! The girls love height :)

Some certainly do. Although I find that gay men seem to love it as well. Whenever the wife and I are at something and there is a gay friend of hers I haven't met before or we are introduced to someone gay for the first time they almost always say to her. "Isn't he tall, lucky you" or "You never mentioned he was so tall" something like that.

I'm 6ft 5 and don't mind it! The girls love height :)

It's not the height they love, it's more than likely the fact you have big feet, if you catch my drift? ;)

Me is 5'11''.

With shoes, 6'0'' easily.

Taller than most of the guys, but smaller than some.

I'd say, its just about perfect.

Also, I'm quite lean, so it makes this height a little, weird, if you may.

I'm about the same.

Seriously at 192 you don't feel like you're looking down a little bit at people while talking to them? I'm 180 and it's kind of just above average for an adult male here.

I don't really think about it like that. Sure I may sometimes have to nod my head down a little (especially since I deal a lot with older people (I work in healthcare)) but in general especially younger people (and 30+ like myself) are rather tall so I don't feel out of place.

If I went to, for example, an Asian country then I might feel a little awkward.

Alright, time to crush all the posts before me.

I'm 6'9 and 280lbs, and face many issues in life. Cars, clothes, hotel hallways, theme park rides, and many more.

I drive American cars only and it's fine, I shop at certain locations, I avoid hallways lol and only go on certain rides I know I can fit lol.

So, you were saying being tall is a problem?

I'm 6'1", and wear a size 13'' shoe. Other than finding shoes, life is fairly easy.

I wish I was actually a few inches taller, 6'4" sounds good.

The worse problem as someone mentioned earlier is pants. 34" jeans/pants are too long, and 31-32" pants are to short. When I find a pair of 33" pants I jump inside and get all giddy, only to find out the waist-size is too small :(.

6'9", wow.

I'm 5'2", but I guess it's OK for a woman to be short. I do remember once in high school, I was not quite this height yet (was ~4'11" IIRC) and one of the really tall guys on the basketball team didn't see me as we were going through the crowded halls, and actually ran right into me, nearly knocked me over. I barely came up to the bottom of his pec area. I was mortified, he was mortified, it was embarrassing at the time but hilarious in retrospect.

Perfect height... :shifty:

I kid, I kid.

One of my exes was 4'10", so borderline legal midget, though not a midget of course, just really short. I loved it, there were many things we could do "together," :p. Except ride roller-coasters, but she hated them anyway.

    • This is of course "clickbait" WTF? It is literally your example but tech based. A "clickbait" title is a sensationalized headline designed to manipulate readers into clicking a link using things like "fear" rather than delivering objective facts. A "clickbait" headline also usually provides little value compared to the hype generated. How does this headline not qualify? It's a generic often reused headline that is overly sensationalized. Oh no! "millions" can't use this app anymore. It has no basic facts like what f*cking app. You read the article and it's the Samsung VPN which no one cares about and there is a million free VPNs. How are you defending this ######? Headlines like this (and among other things) make me read Neowin much less than I used to in the past. It's trash...
