SyncHosting v.2

Question

http://www.synchosting.com/v2/

Hello,

I just finished coding the layout of Sync Hosting v.2

Just take a look using the link at the top of this post and give me feedback.

This is our old one: http://www.synchosting.com/

It's a Template Monster template and I wanted some unique website... now I got one! :D

I think there is some kind of very slow loading time... this is due to slicing optimizement, can anyone help me with that?

Also... we currently have a special offer going on, we call it: Best price guarantee...

It means we are offering a better price for whatever deals you guy find on any website, you also need to prove by showing me the website.

More details here: Link

Thanks.

(Edit: Posted a preview because its really long to load! :D)

Looks very nice.

As for speeding it up... definately less/smaller images. All those links are the same yellow bar with different text. Why not just use css to make the text looks the same? That way you only have 1 image instead of... eight. That alone will make a difference. Further more, most of the images, those yellow bars included, can be reduced to 1px width and then tiled as a background. Then instead of having 8 images with about 200px width you will have 1 image with 1px width. Huge difference there.

Same thing goes for the title bar. That entire thing can be changed to a div with the light gradient as a tiled background, with css text made to look just like those images.

Lots of other similar things can be done throughout the page.

All of this will also make updating a whole lot easier.

EDIT: If you have trouble with this stuff I'd be glad to help you out a bit if you want to hit me with a private message.

Just dont get caught!

What I mean by that is running a company in Quebec without having your site bilingual can get ya in trouble with the nazis, err i mean language police err i mean quebec government. Plus though i'm not completly sure but I think you are also "suppsoed" to have a french name for the company... tho that may only be if you register the compnay. My friend went to register a company (which also did web hosting) they wouldn't let him register an english name. <sarcasim>Ain quebec great?</sarcasim>

Edit hehe forgot to say, nice work.

Hehe, don't misinterpute that nazi remark as against french people in general, its against the quebec gov, especially the PQ who enforces the 101 laws through the OLF.

If you live in Montreal, and are involved in computer buying and such you probably know of the store Microbytes? Several years (5-6) their website was in english only and they were fined by the language police and I think even ended up going to court over it. Tho I did find it kinda dumb on their part cause since at the time thwere were only in montreal and west island, so not having a bilingual site was kinda unintelligent sales wise.

    • That would be nice, if excel could refresh pivot tables without bugs. Frequently you refresh a pivot and all parameters get lost. Now this will happen automatically. Bravo MS!
    • If one could ever put all the crap of the world in one box, that would be Microsoft.
    • The most corrupt and vile CEO any company ever had ! The only company that makes an insane amount of money decade after decade but doesn't deliver on even barely passable quality to customers, screws over partners and treats employees like trash
    • PSA: Some other versions of Windows are losing support on October 14 too by Usama Jawad All of us here at Neowin likely know pretty well by now that Windows 10 is reaching end of support on October 14, 2025. You can extend support through paid and "free" means, but if you don't, you won't get any more security or feature updates following the aforementioned date. We also highlighted that the Long-Term Servicing Channel (LTSC) version Windows 10 22H2 is also reaching end of support on that date. Now, Microsoft has reminded customers that yet another variant of Windows is reaching end of life on October 14, 2025 too. On the Windows Release Health dashboard, Microsoft has published a reminder that the Enterprise, Education, and IoT SKUs of Windows 11, version 22H2 will hit end of support on October 14 as well. It is important to keep in mind that the Home and Pro variants of Windows 11, version 22H2 already reached end of life on October 8, 2024, and the extra year of lease on life will end for other SKUs within a few months too. Windows 11, version 22H2 for IoT, Enterprise, and Education was released on September 20, 2022, which means that they would have received just over three years of support by the time they "die", compared to the regular two years for Home and Pro. Customers on any of these versions should consider upgrading to version 23H2 or 24H2 as soon as possible, which have end of support dates of November 10, 2026 and October 12, 2027, respectively. Staying on a supported version of Windows is crucial as that allows you to receive regular security updates on your machine. If you're an IT admin, you should immediately begin planning a migration to a supported version of the operating system, and if you're an employee or someone using these versions of Windows in some other scenario, go to Settings > System > About and check out Windows Specifications > Version.
