Free lvl 80 Character - WoW: Scroll of Resurrection Revamp

Recommended Posts

Cheers Shaun. Cant see it in me inbox or spam box, will check again after work.

I never got my own invite, they say they are delivered in bulk at the end of the day but still didn't ever see it.

I could accept the invite by following the below though.

1) Log into your battle.net account

2) Click ?Manage My Games?

3) Click the World of Warcraft account which is meant to be resurrected

4) Click ?Referrals and Rewards? at the bottom menu

5) Click ?Scroll of Resurrection?

6) Click ?Received Invitations?

Can you send it to someone who has already once used such a scroll?

Previously this was a limitation (albeit I can see why), though they could've implemented "Can't use it but once every year" or something sensible.

I'm pretty sure I've used two SoRs so far... I think they were a year and a half apart.

That is a pretty great deal but with Guild Wars 2 on the horizon I see no reason to get back in to WoW after the few years I've been away. :/

yep i just received a scroll from a random guy (from my guild) and i don't plan to use it. Well i might use it to say hello but i wont really play (as long as you don't consider running in circle in SW while talking in TS playing).

But boy rofl Blizzard is really desperate.

The only way they can get people back is by making new interesting content. Right now they focus way too much on remaking the game from scratch. They changed lot of things with cata (focus, holy power, ...). It was a complete mess when cata came out. Pvp was broken like it rarely has been and pve dps was all over the place. To this day Blizzard still don't know what they want to do with paladin and hunter new mechanics (DS 4 piece bonus finally makes hunter fun to play again). And now they plan to remake the whole thing ... again ... it's a mistake imo specially since WoW: Pandakemon Cataclysmik Edition content looks really bad right now.

Blizzard should focus on polishing cata new mechanics and making new insteresting contents. I loved wrath, more than BC. I think with ICC blizzard had finally reached a balance between hardcore content and casual content. Last season of wrath pvp was fun. There was a good balance in both pve and pvp. Not perfect of course but it was good. Throwing that in the window for cata instead of making new contents was a mistake. And now Blizzard does the same mistake again. Good job.

DS is by far one of the worst raid in the game ever. It's right at the side of TOC.

SWTOR was fun but the engine is so bad. It's running like **** on my core i5 and 6950 ... i closed my account as soon as i reached 50. Game is lagging with aa. And wirhout aa it's ugly beyond what i consider acceptable.

Hope Guild Wars 2 will deliver. I loved the first game.

kazuyette AT gmail DOT com is my email if someone wanna send a little scroll to me :) Thanks in advance girls and boys.

i sent you one, if someone hasn't already... i just put kazuyette for your name also, it asks for email and name, but it seems to have gone through

strange... my WoW account is active for sure, i signed up for that year pass thing to get diablo 3...

I haven't played WOW in a while but a 80 level character sounds sweet. If somebody wants to send me a scroll I can go back now and play it until Diablo 3 comes out :)

My email is phristov83 AT gmail.com

    • Well, it's good to know that they have found a workaround to a problem that they helped create, I guess...
    • Meta is reusing old DDR4 RAM in its servers instead of buying new hardware by Ivan Jenic Image: Meta The global hardware shortage isn’t exactly news, as the entire world has been struggling with rising component prices for quite some time now. And while big companies certainly aren’t as affected as the average consumer, even they aren’t opposed to the idea of saving a few (million) bucks. Meta appears to have found a way to spend less on new hardware while also putting its outdated infrastructure to use, essentially killing two birds with one stone. The company has built a custom chip that lets it reuse memory from retired servers rather than buying new hardware. The chip is called Vistara and allows for connecting old DDR4 RAM from obsolete servers into new servers that rely on DDR5. The problem Vistara solves goes back to a basic mismatch in how long hardware lasts. Meta replaces its servers every three to five years, but the memory modules inside them are good for seven to ten. When a server gets decommissioned, perfectly usable DDR4 RAM goes with it. Meta is presenting the new method at today’s ISCA symposium, but The Register has got hold of a paper that explains how Vistara works. It's a custom ASIC that bridges DDR4 memory to newer processors via aCXL 2.0/1.1 interface over PCIe Gen5 x16. Meta pulls DDR4 sticks from old machines and installs them in dedicated units it calls MemServers, each of which pairs 768GB of DDR5 with 256GB of recovered DDR4. The operating system sees the DDR4 as an additional memory node and draws from it when the primary DDR5 is running low. Off-the-shelf CXL hardware couldn't do this, so Meta built its own. Existing interfaces bundle their own memory with the controller, which makes reusing old RAM sticks impossible. But Vistara separates the controller from the memory entirely, so Meta can plug in whatever DDR4 sticks it has on hand. Meta plans to deploy the new architecture in hyperscale infrastructure with millions of servers, which should mean that Meta’s AI datacenters will now be more efficient. The company is investing heavily in AI infrastructure, especially with its new AI model, Muse Spark, now widely available. All of this doesn't mean that Meta will exclusively rely on "recycled" RAM, but the company is still looking at considerable savings at scale.

    • I like Tidal, but it still does not control devices from the mobile/app and still no surround support. And yeah re: above comment I still get a lot of network errors and I am on a 4/4 Gbit Fiber connection.
