Great job keeping this up even after Valve breaks the skin almost every update!

One day it would be great to see a tenfoot skin, that is of course if Valve supports skinning it.

Thanks! It's a lot of work but has been a labor of love.

That would definitely be an interesting project. We'd be looking at a full Metro remake if they supported it.

Awesome update :)

Thanks for your time.

Jumping from 2.5.5 -> 2.7.1. I wish I still had time to play games >.<

Thanks, and you're welcome! That's a decent jump. Hopefully you like the new changes!

I'm being really really stupid but I can't find the download button, Im looking on the Deviantart page but nothing.

Upper right, below the "Browse More Like This" section. Here's a direct link.

Get it from here McKay: http://metroforsteam.com/

I've updated again. Can't wait to see the download widget >.<

DAMN HE SO FAST! D:

Haha, I just happened to visit Neowin and saw the thread in the Mini Spy. I was shocked, to be honest, as the thread hasn't been all that lively lately. :(

The download widget is being well received. I'll be releasing it soon!

There's something really depressing about a skin that makes it so convincingly metro while at the same time touch scrolling is utterly impossible. :<

Scrollbars aren't very fun to work with in Steam. :/ They're no smaller than the defaults though, so if those work fine these should too (and vice versa).

I tried that the download button takes you to DeviantArt.

Thanks BoneyardBrew!

No problem!

Well, if you find yourself in need of more testers.. LET ME TEST DAMNIT! :p

You'd think, but scroll bars are pretty narrow (there's no design reason for them to be wide when swipe-to-scroll becomes a fundamental part of the UX), and miss them by one pixel and you've just selected a bunch of text. :|

This skin just keeps getting better and better! been my default Steam skin for ages now (both my PCs, Mac is default Steam since not supported). I recommend this to my friends as well! you should be hired by Valve and make this the default UI! Keep up the fantastic work (Y)

True. I heard Big Picture Mode has iffy support for scrolling as well. Maybe Valve will focus more on improving their services with touch devices in the future.

Thank you, that means a lot. :)

First skin I've ever bothered to put onto Steam. I think I'll keep it :)

Nice work. (Y)

Enjoy!

    • Microsoft resumes forced Copilot app installation on some Windows PCs by Usama Jawad Late last year, Microsoft planned to begin the automatic installation of the Microsoft 365 Copilot app on certain Windows PCs. However, in March 2026, it disabled this process due to a technical issue and informed customers that it would let them know when it would resume. It seems like that was only a temporary respite, as the Redmond tech giant has started the forced installation of the app on eligible devices. In an update on its Message Center for IT admins, Microsoft has informed customers that it is resuming the automatic installation of the Microsoft 365 Copilot on commercial Windows PCs that have Microsoft 365 apps already installed. What this means is that if you have Microsoft Office apps like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and more installed on your Windows PC through a Microsoft 365 license, you'll likely see the Microsoft 365 Copilot app pop up in your Installed Apps section soon, too. Fortunately, IT admins do have some control over this rollout. If they choose to opt out, devices in their tenant won't automatically get the dreaded Copilot app. However, phased rollout via feature flags has already begun and is expected to be completed by the end of June: Feature Flag1: started Jun 4, expected to finish June 10 Feature Flag2: expected to start on June 11, expected to finish on June 17 MSGraph schema rollout: expected to start on June 18, expected to finish on June 24 Feature Flag3: expected to start on June 25, expected to complete by July 1st Microsoft hasn't detailed what the process is to toggle the feature flags in its Message Center, and its public support page does not seem to mention it yet either. The Redmond tech giant has encouraged IT admins to let users know beforehand so they aren't caught by surprise to see a new app seemingly installed without manual interaction or their consent. Users who already have the app installed or are based in the European Economic Area (EEA) are unaffected by this move, which Microsoft has understandably flagged as a "major change".
