I'm trying to find out if it's possible to have a printer connected to the internet with a cable or Wi-Fi, using a router without any computers around and be able to print something when i send the router or the printer itself an email for example that it will print.

Not sure if it's even possible or not so any help would be great.

Thanks.

you could open the printer port 9500 and setup a port on your local machine to use the outside ip as your printer. it is kind of dirty but this is the way I was doing it back in 2002-2003 for a dental office. it would be beneficial to use a dynamic dns provider to make things a bit easier.
