This show has really gone down hill for me. I just have little to no interest in any of the side stories with Hoyt/Jessica.... Terri/Fire Demon...Tara. Hate it even more that the writers had the nerve to setup that whole fairy/light fruit/human harvester then drop it completely for at least a whole season, then return only to explain it as some BS about fairies take on a form.. blah blah.. just weak writing and a cop out for screwing things up. I never read any of the books so I dont know how much the show sticks to it but its def dropped a few spots on my list since the early seasons.

I didn't like the way

the guardian died. He was made out to be a badass but didn't even put up a fight, and all the other people in the room just stood there and watched

yeah but he's 500 years old and Russell is 3000 he would easily overpower him and all of them easily except Salom? who is over 2000 but she's helping him it seems

It's drifted away from the books completely now. It was slowly doing so from the start, but this season it's abandoned them completely which has been really jarring and ruined most of the main characters - for instance the start of the new season takes place about 2 days, in story terms, after the end of the last one - yet instantly Eric says "**** Sookie" and hooks up with his vampire sister (not in the books, either) - and now he's randomly started caring about Sookie again.

They should have stuck to the books more, because the writers really are quite bad when they have to rely on their own stuff and their own character development - to the point where most characters come across as two completely different people from episode to episode.

Hrmm yeah the shows not what it was, I think its because theres so many subplots going on that it becomes a bit like a soap opera (putting the drama and plot to one side). I mean theres always been ridiculous and funny stuff throughout the seasons so sam on the floor and bill riding eric were intentional not to result of stupidity. Eitherway its always nice to see truebloods resident obiwon make an appearance.

They've completely butchered it, it gets worse with every episode. None of the characters are at all like they were in previous seasons.

Did they get a completely new team of writers or what?

Yeah, Bill's sudden personality turn around is the worst. Not even remotely in character or believable.

"I am 3000 years old!"

epic!

I've been waiting to see how long it would take for him to say F this BS. Evil Russell is the best!

I'm just hoping he is playing the long game, but with Russell on the warpath perhaps this will persuade him to change back.

Erm so what happened to Bill at the end?

He went liquid terminator on them. I guess this means he is going to be the new God Vampire or whatever.

Different unrelated spoiler

Am I the only one that is sad that Russell got taken down so easily?

    • The problem isn't with Epic, it's with the platform holders like Steam and Nintendo, they should be a lot more strict in their review process.

    • Microsoft updates Visual Studio Code with easier language model discovery and in-app search by Paul Hill Microsoft has released Visual Studio Code 1.125, its latest weekly release. This week, the company has focused on discovering and installing extra language models via the Marketplace; searching the web and securely browsing over remote connections without leaving VS Code; choosing how long VS Code waits before installing extension updates; and delivering managed Copilot settings through existing device management tooling. In older versions of VS Code, extensions could contribute their own model providers, but to find these extensions, you needed the right tags to search for in the Extension view. Now, the Language Models editor gives you an Install Model Providers button that opens the Extensions view, which is filtered to extensions that contribute model providers, making it easier to find and install them. Once you install a provider, its model will appear in the model picker. If you use the integrated browser much, you can now look up information without leaving VS Code by typing a query into the integrated browser’s address bar. It will use your configured search engine, the same way a standalone browser does. You can use workbench.browser.searchEngine to pick a search engine. When the browser is opened in a remote workspace, it's now possible to proxy HTTP(S) traffic via the remote connection. This allows you to connect to any ports or services that can only be accessed from the remote machine. If you read our coverage from two weeks ago about VS Code 1.123, you might have seen that extension updates have a two-hour delay as a safety measure. In this update, Microsoft is giving you the ability to configure the time of the delay. You can find it under extensions.autoUpdateDelay. Finally, with this update, admins can deliver managed GitHub Copilot settings through native device management (MDM) channels on Windows and macOS, in addition to account-based enterprise settings files. Settings delivered via MDM appear as policy-enforced in VS Code and can’t be overridden locally. Future updates will extend the supported policy keys across Copilot surfaces. You can download the update from the Visual Studio Code website now.
