  • 2 weeks later...

I'm a little bummed that the employee screening is only a day before the opening. Usually we get screenings a week or so in advance. I guess AMC/Disney contract delayed it. Lame.

Probably sensitive of pirates getting CAMS out.

Interesting. I'd heard the rumors, but I really didn't think we'd be seeing Pepper in the suit... LOL

Pepper in a suit is a GIVEN - just due to continuity reasons.

BOTH the Hogans (remember, Pepper is Happy Hogan's ex, though she kept using her maiden name professionally) figured prominently in the Armor Wars story arc. The ONLY change is Rhodey's place in the continuity - in the original, War Machine had NOT been created yet (though AW was one event that led to the creation of the War Machine armor). Basically, what's happened is that AW is now post-War Machine, instead of pre-War Machine.

Don't forget Rhodey is never Iron Patriot, it was Norman Osborne. So I'd say continuity wise.. that is also different.

Interesting. I never really followed the Iron Man books, so I don't know most of those stories or the continuity of it all. I didn't know she was ever in the suit. :) Thanks for the clarification.

Just came back from a 3d (not my choice, would rather see 2d) showing. Absolutely loved it.

That is all.

Pepper in a suit does indeed rock. Shes pretty bad ass near the end too.

Although the end credit "teaser" did nothing to excite me in comparison to previous ones.

I am the opposite, really disappointed in it :/

What didn't you like about it? I loved it, lol.

I just thought the story was really weak, considering that the trailers built it up to be amazing. In my opinion its the weakest out of all the Marvel movies

Can you spoiler tag what the end teaser scene is?

It starts with a close shot of Tony Stark on a couch talking about his various traumas, obviously he?s talking to someone, as if he was seeing a shrink, the tone of the scene is light and supposedly funny. Then we discover that the person he?s talking to is Bruce Banner/Mark Ruffalo, who fell asleep because of Tony?s boring story. Tony remarks that Banner has been sleeping during the most part of his story and yells at him, and Banner just mumbles and says ?You know, I?m not that kind of doctor!? Then Tony recalls another memory and resumes his monologue, and then we see Banner starting to fall asleep again

Then after that the scene, the last credit said 'Tony Stark will return'.

I really don't think those two are mutually exclusive.

Yeah, let's be honest. It's easier to bring Iron Man back at this point than Tony Stark... LOL Not that I don't want Robert Downey Jr. in it because he's just great. But Iron Man is easier for them to do if he doesn't want to come back. Hopefully they'll get that all worked out though, because I can't imagine these movies without him.

Rumour has it Bradley Cooper is favourite if RDJ steps down

    • Not even an OLED display on the laptops. Also it seems that the laptop design isn't the same as the Surface Ultra model. Looks like bargain bin at high prices.
    • VirtualBox 7.2.10 by Razvan Serea VirtualBox is a powerful x86 and AMD64/Intel64 virtualization product for enterprise as well as home use. Targeted at server, desktop and embedded use, it is now the only professional-quality virtualization solution that is also Open Source Software. Presently, VirtualBox runs on Windows, Linux, macOS, and Solaris hosts and supports a large number of guest operating systems including but not limited to Windows (NT 4.0, 2000, XP, Server 2003, Vista, 7, 8, Windows 10 and Windows 11), DOS/Windows 3.x, Linux (2.4, 2.6, 3.x, 4.x, 5.x and 6.x), Solaris and OpenSolaris, OS/2, OpenBSD, NetBSD and FreeBSD. Some of the features of VirtualBox are: Modularity. VirtualBox has an extremely modular design with well-defined internal programming interfaces and a client/server design. This makes it easy to control it from several interfaces at once: for example, you can start a virtual machine in a typical virtual machine GUI and then control that machine from the command line, or possibly remotely. VirtualBox also comes with a full Software Development Kit: even though it is Open Source Software, you don't have to hack the source to write a new interface for VirtualBox. Virtual machine descriptions in XML. The configuration settings of virtual machines are stored entirely in XML and are independent of the local machines. Virtual machine definitions can therefore easily be ported to other computers. • OK, now ask yourself how are they going to enforce that law? By requiring every single adult to prove their age and provide their legal identity documents to an UNREGULATED 3rd party company that already has a long track record of multiple data breaches. Not to mention, parliament have voted AGAINST this ban, twice, and Starmer is going ahead anyway. So, where's the democracy here, because that looks like dictatorship to me. The solution here is parental responsibility, not government control. Run some public service announcements on TV and UK social media teaching parents how to setup parental controls. That's already been proven to actually work. But the, this is not and has NEVER been about keeping kids safe. It's about control and monitoring. Watching what you're doing online and controlling what you can see and what you can say.
    • Interesting read. I knew the adware was quite controversial at the time, however never realised to the point The Guardian wrote an article about Patchou. I just said no and enjoyed his creation, I’d probably be a lot more wary of something like that today though.
