I have the wonderfully useful Skydrive app on me iPad. When viewing files there is an option to download them to your iPad. Therefore when you are viewing them are they are just in the app.

For instance when I look at a pic it gives me the option to download it to Photos. So when you are viewing it from within the Skydrive app and then goto another folder does that pic disappear from you iPads memory?

The reason I ask is I have some 100MB+ pdf files and I view them in Skydrive App and then go out of Skydrive is the pdf gone from the iPad? I know you can have them in iBooks but then they take up precious 'hard drive' space. It may take a few seconds to download the pdf every time but if they are just stored on t'internet I have more room for porn other things.

edit - I have just been informed by "she who must be obeyed" that no filth of any kind is allowed on "our" iPad :-(

Unless you're specifically saving images to your camera roll/albums, or saving PDF's to iBooks then those files will only be cached temporarily by iOS. You should notice the pics getting redownloaded if you force kill the app, reopen it and look at the same pics on a skydrive album for instance
