And here I thought 'Beefy Miracle' for Fedora 17 is silly.

And then they wonder why consumers don't take desktop Linux seriously.

I personally don't really give two ****s whether some random consumer who barely knows how to tie their shoe takes Linux seriously or not, they can keep using Windows and pay every time their box gets compromised.

I only care whether it gets the job done and for the things I use it for, it does better than anything else.

That's basically the attitude much of the Linux community has and also part of the reason why Linux on the desktop just won't get off the ground. Keep it up! (Y)

It's not the actual official name anyways; it's just the code name.

Okay, in that case it isn't so bad.

You're right, they should not only name but MARKET all of their releases after cats. Then we'll take them seriously.

You're bringing OS X into this why? Anyway, last time I checked OS X did a lot better than desktop Linux.

    • On xiaomi hyperos there's also an option to disable google assistant. I've got everything disabled. Only thing I do have installed is a web wrapped for duck.ai which claims to let you use various AIs anonymously
    • I need to understand the rationale of not shipping all of these K2 improvements in a single update/release. It's giving "we will fix Windows 11 but no commitments". It seems to me that they just announce these improvements just to appease the community.
    • The term "RTM" is long gone starting with Windows 10. Every current release is a GA build. This is the result of MS making Windows as a Service (WaaS).
    • Looks like no official TBW rating, which should be a required listing in my opinion for sites like Amazon (hell, put it on the box too.)
