60% off Norton Antivirus/Internet Security

Question

Was searching the web for vouchers and came across this one for 60% off Norton Antivirus, though it also works with Internet Security. I've just bought Norton Antivirus 12.0 for Mac Upgrade for only ?10. It was on Vouchercodes.co.uk so not sure if it will work on International stores.

Promo code: Norton60VK

Enter the code at the checkout to get 60% off your purchase. Expires Sat 30th June 2012.

Tip: Use it on upgrade prices for an even better discount.

I know some people detest Norton but this could be handy for people who use it and are due to upgrade/renew.

EDIT: Symantec are offering 30% off Norton Internet Security 2012, so it's currently ?34.99 ?49.99. If you also use the promo code above you'll get it for ?14! This is the FULL version valid for 3 PCs. The 30% off deal ends tomorrow.

Actually Norton is not horrible these days. I have tested most of the popular anti-virus. The detection is fairly good, memory usage is fairly good as well. Wouldn't use it over Kaspersky or NOD32, but hey...for 60% off some of you folks might not mind it.

Im a massive Norton / Symantec hater since their dreadful anti virus of 2005 etc.

However their stuff lately is alot better and this is a very good deal imo, they are nowhere near as bad as they were years ago.

Most of the old schoolers wouldn't touch Norton aka Symantec crap with a bargepole no matter how good it is now.

I used to think like that then I actually tried the product. It works great. Way better than MSE which I was using before.

I will be renewing again for a second year so I wish this code worked in North America.

The code is for the UK store only, if you search around you might find a code or the US or other international stores.

Norton is always a touchy subject for some people, but for those who hate it you should really try it. Since their 2009/2010 release it's been vastly improved and is now the lights AV suite around. They are currently testing the 2013 releases for Windows.

Once bitten, twice shy. I don't understand why Symantec chose to opt out of AV comparatives testing for 2012 if they have truly turned around from their bloatware days and want to show people how good they actually are. Probably goes to show the lack of confidence they have for their product.

I agree. There was a time when nothing ran as slowly as Norton, but they've improved this drastically over the last few years. Though I've noticed some issues with false positives in the last release which has proven rather annoying...
