A good site name

Recommended Posts

Hey.

I was thinking about creating an PC hardware based webpage for estonians, since I haven't found any decent one yet and I think it's worth giving a shot. It would contain news, reviews etc.

Altho I would need a name, what do you think would be a good name for that kind of an site?

Any ideas, suggestions and critisims is appriciated :)

Hardware Hub? Snappy and uses alliteration.

Nice! I'll also try to "translate" the name into Estonian for a brief second just to see how it sounds and if it would catch on :)

Ofcourse the domain name itself would stay in English :)

It might sound a bit messy I know :(

It's worth a try at least. It can't hurt to see if it would work in Estonian. Since I don't know the language I can't really imagine what the name would sound like, so I would have to just hope it sounds good. If it doesn't, then I shall see if I can come up with something else. A lot of the time when I come up with names for things they're spur of the moment, and if I can't think of a name immediately it'll take me a while to get anywhere close to a decent name. Good luck with your business, though! :D

Well since we actually don't use the meaning of hardware much around here (well atleast not the common people who are just looking for new PC parts) and more or less use everything under PC's or by RAM, CPU etc.

The suggestion you made is very good and would catch on fast for an English site but the problem is I'm not too sure how to give that "hardware" piece a good deffenition into estonian.

I'm not sure what terms you could use instead then. Internals? If you can think of a term which would definitely translate between the two languages smoothly I'll see what I can come up with! :)

I was thinking more along the lines of like what "Legit reviews" site is...I just suck too much at this to think one myself :( Thanks for helping me! :)

Kit Critic? It would work better if there was alliteration, but I can't imagine "Kit Kritic" being as appealing to look at, unless you're willing to find a way to make it work. If it's a review site you may as well use that for part of the title, and if you can get it to fit with the naming style, all the better!

Actually, that would work out perfect! To put it into Estonian it would give the alliteration of KK 3 ways I could think of right now.

Going with that! Thank You so much! :D

Somehow I never thought of the word critic :|

    • It saddens me when cars are such dull colours now. Mine is bright metallic blue and I absolutely adore it for standing out in contrast to that depressing backdrop of traffic.

    • lol it was a typo, fixed! haha imagine an actual 4TB Gen4 NVMe for $40 in 2026
    • Get over it, has nothing to do with my point.
    • I really don't like these rounded corners and huge borders in the viewport. They just waste space without anything in return.
