Help needed with an image

Attached is an image of a constellation that is roughly 11x8 inches. I need to make the image 11x8.5 by adding some black at the bottom of the image. I dont know how I can do this though and not have it look sticking out. Can anyone help?

That looks perfect but it needed to be at the bottom of the image (where his tail and wing are). :)

Some reason PS won't save it with the original dimensions

Thanks! Needed black space at the bottom to sneak some text at the bottom without getting in the way of the image. This should work I think.
