Facebook tab takes time to close

It has been few days that i am facing this problem. Anyone else? (It happens in IE/Chrome/Firefox , though it may not be perceived when compared to each other but closing tabs on same browser clearly shows facebook tab takes a lil more time)

I ran into the same issue, occasionally the entire tab freezes and I have to kill it (Chrome)

I don't run anything except AdB on FB and I doubt it's that.

What AV are you using? I used to have issues with FF being clunky with AVG, but since moving to MSE it has been fine.

I've had exactly the same issue on Firefox. I haven't checked using other browsers.

Once again i had issues with 3 major browsers , not just FF. And i am using Windows 8 , so no need for AV (for most cases).

I was going to ask about this exact issue.

Happens just on FB.. and when I close tab. on IE10 windows 8 with Defender .. no other AV installed.

Have you ever looked at the page source when viewing FB? It's.. ludicrous.

Uneducated guess would be that most likely related somehow to the ajax mess that they use to update the timeline/content.

I didn't say other browsers don't have issues too. And you're naive to think you don't need an AV solution in Windows 8.

I didn't need it even for Windows Vista/7 , coz i don't really use pendrives infected by viruses through some school computer etc.and have enough knack to differentiate between not crap and crap on web...
