Royalty
So im in need of a good but cheap graphics card. I know nothing about graphic cards so please help me choose one. So the one I'm looking for should be compatible with Intel core I7 but also can handle games such as GTA 4. I already have the other parts good to go. I just need a graphics card. Thank you guys! Edit: around $400 just for the gfx card Here is my PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139021 Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/1078907-need-gfx-card/ Share on other sites

Jeston Veteran Posted May 22, 2012 Veteran Share Posted May 22, 2012 The Sapphire 7950 OC gets my vote. Should play anything you throw at it for a few years to come. Get it today and it has a $20 off code bringing it to just under your $400 budget at $389.99. BoneyardBrew Member Posted May 22, 2012 Member Share Posted May 22, 2012 I'd go with a 670 from either EVGA or MSI. I've owned cards from both brands and they've always worked well. The MSI model is overclocked out of the box, which is nice if you don't want to bother with any of that yourself. Based on this review by Tom's Hardware it beats the 7950 in pretty much every benchmark. I also prefer Nvidia's drivers so that also influences my suggestion, and if I had to guess the 670 still has a bit of performance left in it to be squeezed out in future driver updates. I very much agree with this post. The 670 is a beast of a GPU. Nvidia always gets my vote. +LogicalApex MVC Posted May 22, 2012 MVC Share Posted May 22, 2012 A $400 budget isn't cheap. That is enthusiast class :p That being said. The card that is considered best right now is the 670. Performance is very close to the 680 stock and can be over clocked to slightly faster.
