As long as the character hasn't been involved in any storylines that show he or she is definitely heterosexual, DC Comics could just excuse this change by maintaining that this is merely an aspect of the character that wasn't previously revealed :) Well, I think that would be fine of them to do :)

Considering all, I think Batman would make the most sense. He keeps Robin around, has no serious female love interest in the storyline (what is there could be a cover or him trying to figure out his place) and he had a troubled childhood. Would be very likely that he could be the one.

I think it's like George Takei said about homosexual characters in Trek. They've always been there, but they just don't mince around like queens. Example: Lt. Hawk from First Contact was a gay character according to the production notes. Say, Aquaman (for example) if has never had a hetro relationship... Who says he's not always been gay.

Also, bringing in a new gay character, it would be very hard for his sexuality to not be the thing that he is known for - rather than Aquaman who's known for chatting with fish and stuff!

Agreed, plus (And I'm not sure how to say this), but I'm sure they would have a hard time bringing in a new character and not making them over the top gay with the power to control rainbows or something. With an existing character, at least they already know how he talks and interacts and what his powers are or whatever, so hopefully this won't happen. It would be rather offensive if they all of a sudden started portraying them as uber gay. The majority of the gay population wants to be viewed as no different from anyone else and I think that's important in media as well.

I have nothing against gay people but I swear to god if they make Superman gay and put a pink dress on him I am going to scream!!!! :(

Superman is the greatest Super hero of all time and there is no way in hell you can make him gay!

I know for a fact that superman likes T & A :)

Why on earth would he start wearing a pink dress?

I hadn't thought about that, but that would make sense. He's had relationships with women in the books though, so I guess he'd have been experimenting. lol And then of course, you'd have the moment of "Oh god" when you realized how young Robin was when he first started hanging around... :-\

Except batman has been the most hetero of them all in the movies at least. He's Gotham's Tony Stark

Oh. my. God. The world is getting crazier every day. Spiraling on down the drain. May as well sit back and enjoy the collapse, which seems to be accelerating, in every category, and in every way...

Feel free to explain why a select few in a cast of thousands of superheros being gay is so "crazy", when one in four men is apparently gay... Intriguing!

Again, I will say 1 in 4 men is gay (according to some oft quoted figures). So with that in mind, how is this bullsh*t?

      I and many others did not vote to get out of the E.u because of Putin or Farage, we did so for our own reasons. You don't have to tel me what my own did or did not do when it comes to the E.U. The EEC is or was the European Economic Community, a different beast to what the E.U is now.The EEC was a mainly about trading, the E.U have gone far beyond that and as I have said before, is now more of a United States of Europe. The U.K did not vote to join a United States of Europe. Anyway, they did not want us in there in the first place, Charles de Gaulle stopped us joining as he claimed we didn’t agree with the core ideas of integration. He was not wrong and that is why we voted out of the E.U when the time came. I was not old enough to vote the first time. My only regret is that we did not have the referendum years ago and got out years ago. If we rejoined, we would have to agree to join the Euro and no doubt Schengen, agree with freedom of movement, we have enough problem with people coming over here as it is. i have no problem with people coming over here if they work and don't try to push their way of life onto us. The E.U has a currency, freedom of movement, an anthem a flag, a parliament, well they are there, not sure if they do anything. Don't sound like something that is just for trading. Oh yeah, also wanted a euro Army. How many stupid rules have the E.U made that we had to follow? I doubt I will see the Uk rejoin the E.U, which suits me. Oh yeah, my partner is Polish, she came over here before Poland joined the E.U and she got fed up of people just coming over here with ease, while she had to struggle. She is now a British citizen and have been for a fair few years

      U.S. partially reverses Anthropic AI ban for Mythos but keeps Fable 5 off the market by Karthik Mudaliar Anthropic says that the U.S. government has finally allowed it to restore Claude Mythos 5. But of course, there's a catch. The rollout is again for a limited set of U.S. organizations that operate and defend critical infrastructure. The company announced this in a post on X (formerly Twitter). This does not mean that Anthropic's latest frontier models are back to normal availability. Fable 5, which was a tuned version of Mythos 5 for public release, remains unavailable. Anthropic said that it is still working with the government to expand Mythos 5 access and make Fable 5 available again, but there's no timeline. Reports from Bloomberg and Reuters say that this decision actually came through a letter from the U.S. Commerce Department. According to Reuters, this would allow more than 100 companies and institutions access to Mythos 5. In its announcement, OpenAI also said that access to these models is initially limited to a select group of trusted partners and organizations, with broader access planned later this year. Both of these cases show that frontier AI launches are no longer just ordinary product releases and more like slow and vetted deployments shaped heavily by the U.S. government.
