User Themes Extension

Recommended Posts

Yea, I know it is a known problem.

If you have gnome-shell 3.4 you can do the following:

From peacewithall

For Gnome Shell 3.4, install the extension here as normal, then type in terminal:

sudo cp ~/.local/share/gnome-shell/extensions/[email protected]/schemas/org.gnome.shell.extensions.user-theme.gschema.xml /usr/share/glib-2.0/schemas

sudo glib-compile-schemas /usr/share/glib-2.0/schemas

Worked for me, using Ubuntu.

Let me know if you have any problems.

Have you tried installing it from the GNOME shell extensions website yet? https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/19/user-themes/

Firefox on Ubuntu should be configured to install shell extensions directly from the browser. You might have to restart the shell for the extension to work (press Alt+F2, then enter r)
