Can't remember TV show name

I'm trying to recall a TV show I saw as a kid. Here's what I recall:

* It was set in a New York hotel

* It was a farcical comedy

* It was distributed either by Touchstone or Buena Vista (I think) or at least a Disney subsidiary company

* It would have been mid-late 80s/very early 90s

* On Channel 4 in the UK

* I recall Tim Curry being in it (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000347/) But this seems to be wrong and I'm confusing his role as the hotellier in Home Alone 2 :(

No not Cheers, was way less memorable than that. Also Cheers wasn't in New York nor a hotel. But Cheers anyway :)

No worries, I've got a mate who's an encyclopedia with stuff like this, I'd never even heard of it.

Apparently it was on the BBC, and it had the guy that played hedley lemar in blazing saddles as the manager.
