Euro 2012 Competition - Entry Rules

These are the rules for the Euro 2012 Competition

The relatively simple task is to predict the finishing placings of each of the groups and then the knockout stages. This must all be done before the first match kicks off.

Points will be awarded as follows:

Group Stages

1 point for each correct group placing.

Quarter Finals

By filling in the Groups, you will effectively create your second round draw.

For each correct team playing in the right QF match, 2 points will be awarded.

If a team you have chosen reaches the QF's, but not in the game you have designated, 1 point will be awarded.

Semi Finals

For each correct team playing in the right SF match, 4 points will be awarded.

If a team you have chosen reaches the SF's, but not in the game you have designated, 2 points will be awarded.

The Final

For each correct team playing in the right Final position, 8 points will be awarded.

If a team you have chosen reaches the Final, but not in the position you have designated, 4 points will be awarded.

The Winner

16 points will be awarded for correctly predicting the eventual winner.

1st place (most points) - Tier 2 subscription for a year - staff are excluded

2nd place - Tier 1 subscription for a year- staff are excluded

3rd place - A pat on the back - staff are not excluded ;)

If there is a tie in points then both members will receive the prize.

Copy below and set the group stages in your preferred order, QF, SF and Final are self explanatory)

I'd love to see England do well, but they will get knocked out at the 1st knockout phase. Ireland to be a sleeper hit, lol!

I'm just being realistic. We all know how well England is doing at major tournaments.

But finishing bottom of the group isn't going to happen. (I certain hope not anyway!) You really think Ukraine is a better side than England?!

Thanks for the spotting the error and the mail Neobond. My old post can either be deleted or have most of the characters removed by a mod if possible. Which ever is easier.

Sadly, he's right. We don't have what it takes to beat Germany, or win the tournament.

I don't think that's quite true. The quality is there, but there's also a sense of entitlement that some to most of the players feel they have to just come into a major international competition and should do well because they do well at club level. In reality, most England players don't give a rats ass about representing thir country, haven't for a while. Which is a damn shame as there are some players that deserve(d) to be elevated to the status of "greatest" by winning the Euros or the World Cup.

Aint got a clue, so I'm going with the boss.

On a side note, I really enjoyed the tournament, showcased Ukraine and Poland really well. Top marks for them, also our English fans did very well, I heard hardly any negative things against them.

    • Weirldy, in Texas the age of consent is 17, not 18.
    • DXVK generally performs better on Linux (using Wine/Proton) than on Windows. Because Linux utilizes highly optimized, open-source Vulkan drivers (like RADV/ACO) that were specifically built for AMD Radeon hardware, the translation of Direct3D 9/11 to Vulkan is highly efficient. But if you take the trouble to watch my video, you can see that there are also advantages for Nvidia users. You see that I run Assassin's Creed Odyssey on 4GB RAM and on an i3-3240. What do you think are the minimum system requirements for windows11? For CPU-based rendering, Linux is generally faster than windows11 by about 15% due to lighter background overhead and efficient kernel scheduling.
