New, reliable, SSD; Intel 520 or Kingston HyperX?

After my OCZ Vertex died after 4 months, I will never get again get an OCZ product. Not only was the product crap, but the support was terrible as well. I have had my Intel SSD's for a while, and they have been going strong.

My understanding from reading numerous forums & reviews is that (previously encountered firmware issues aside) is is more reliable than OCZ, Intel & Samsung alternatives. My PC boots Windows 8 CP in 6 seconds from boot....I will get a 2nd one for media when price falls below ?50.

What issues have you had? I've used every version of OCZ SSD (except for the 4) and they are all still running strong.

I'm assuming you have the latest firmware running on them, correct?

Yeah, I'm still using my vertex 2 and haven't had a single issue with it.

You should have stuck with the Vertex 4. The reason OCZ gets a bad rap is because they are the best selling, thus have more failures. All brands have numerous failures, so it's just luck of the draw. I have 5 OCZ drives running between my computers and have built PCs for companies using OCZ and haven't had a single failure. It differs from person to person, but I'd say overall OCZ is one of the best. Or people don't keep up with firmware updates. Yes, it's a bad excuse, but the updates make a huge difference.

The Vertex 4 is faster and has a better controller than the 520, but I'm sure the Intel will be fine.

Crucial M4 is by far the best bang for the buck and they have the best reviews as well. From what I could see they have the least amount of problems of any SSD.
