560ti, i5 2500k OC @ 4320mhz ( I think ) and 8gm ram. Anyone with similar system as I'm getting stuttering when driving and its annoying.

Using this:

http://www.geforce.com/whats-new/guides/watch-dogs-graphics-performance-and-tweaking-guide

Will see how it goes.

I have the same setup except 6GB of ram and I do get occasional stuttering while driving but only when going super fast and making quick turns (in some of the chase missions it's unavoidable apparently lol). But it's not so bad as to make me either stop playing or lower setttings more :|

From one of the comments on that article. Ouch!

Wow that video is pretty sad. I wonder what Watch Dogs would have been like had they just stuck with the current consoles rather than try to be cross-generational.

I kind of wish Ubisoft would have just licensed Rockstar's engine and made Watch Dogs with that instead.

One word comes to mind playing this game: boring.

The graphics look decidedly last-gen. The controls feel pretty shonky. The UI isn't great, constantly having loads of boxes full of useless information popping up all the time is annoying.

The gameplay feels like a poor GTA knock off.

I've played around the first hour or two so far and although it's early days it hasn't impressed at all to make me want to go back and play more.

Can't believe I paid ?44 for this.

Sorry that  you though you bought GTA  and that this was GTA  but sadly this is not and is  not meant to be GTA this is a new  IP  so give it time.  and those boxes i aasume   of useless info is stuff ya can hack in to from what i heard and gather more info from the  person  and even   end  up doing side quest  or somthing

I came here because i couldn't decide whether to buy it or not... I still can't decide.

The lack of polish based on that video on the last page is embarrassing  (fake shadows, no damage, etc..) but comparing the clips i'd say the lighting and overall vibrance of the game is better than GTA.

Any other comments on game play?

Sorry that you though you bought GTA

Ha no that's not it at all. When I loaded the game up I had nothing about GTA at all in my mind other than comparisons i had seen mentioned online (and was in fact hoping it would not be like GTA and more unique), but playing it it is plainly obvious that's what they were going for and have done a really poor job of it.

you guys do realise something about the video posted. while it's probably not why the headlights shadows aren't there in Watch dogs, go out when it gets dark, turn on the headlights an walk in front of the car and look at where the game says you're supposed to have the sharp define shadow and be amazed at what you see, or rather don't see, especially since that shadow even if it where to occur like that is physically impossible, unless the light was a lot higher and further away.

Fair observation but I think more to the point is that why can't an Ubisoft game in 2014 do dynamic shadows (which I believe Rock Star introduced into their games with Max Payne 2, id in Doom 3) ? - however potentially inaccurate.

This should convince everyone in doubt, that his game is not worth a single Dollar. Watch till the end, it's hilarious.

so this guy played the game and  only showed a small amount of little  glitches  or little thing that he nitpicked  on wow .    i am still gonna get the game  cause i know these things will be patched.

Im enjoying the game very much so far, I don't understand half the clips in that guys video? Watch_Dogs isn't worth $1 because if you stand in fire long enough you die? Apart from a physics engine that's a tad questionable sometimes I like it.

Does this video mean GTA 5 isn't worth $1?

So Ive played a few hours now, Not really followed the main story too much, as tbh i couldn't care less. Ive found its easy to play with a Xbox controller, driving is easier, Walking doesnt require using Alt !? and its easier to move from walk to jog. The car sound in my opinion aren't the best, I guess as they don't have license's they cant use real car sounds. As videos above there are a few quirky behaviors to the physics, I found the lampposts one laughable. I will say the world is nice, the trees and buildings are nice to look at, the world has lots in it props and such, even if there only things to view there well modeled. After finding a nice balance it runs ok on my 560ti which is considered old now ( Plays Bf3 Ultra, Bf 4 High and Crysis 3 High / Ultra ) so Im not yet feeling theres a card out + games worth me upgrading to while im still using 1080p. Likely i only payed ?23 for Watch_dogs it so not lost too much. Only problems Ive had are, May-be my comp, but it keeps crashing to desktop and Uplay sucks.

I've just put my copy up on eBay.  There is so much that is irritating me about this game it is just not one I am going to enjoy.  I'd rather spend my time putting in a second play through of Wolfenstein.

I get the feeling this is going to be one of those games you either really dig or irritates the hell out of you.

Nope my decision to get shot of it is based purely on how underwhelming and irritating I found it to play so far that I don't have much inclination after the first 4 or so hours to go back and do anything with the game. It just feels like a chore. Much of what they've done just seems so half assed.

Some people will undoubtedly enjoy it it's just not one for me.

The game  got delayed so they could put more depth in to the game and they have and  only 4hrs in to a  40+ hr  not including the online and or the mini  missons or side missions or    little thing  and you  dont feel it .  maby you need a refresh on the game

Anyone know if the XO version has anything special like kinect commands or such?  Its alittle more conveinent to play it on my XO since its on most the time anyways BUT i also kind of like i can stream it to my vita when the tv is being used.  Going to pick it up on one of the systems tonight

Got the X1 version and there's nothing for Kinect, it's all controller based.

So can anyone tell me if this is worth going out and getting?

From the reviews all I can gather is that the console graphics aren't anything to write home about (especially compared to Second Son) and the gameplay is basically a poor version of GTA?

Not sure if you got it already hahahaha, but on X1 it looks OK, nothing special. You can tell it would not be possible on a 360, but not by much. Doesn't look as nice as Second Son. I don't mind, as i'm relieved it has nothing to do with Chicago as well. This looks nothing like Chicago. Parker Square? "The Wards?" Hahahaha, this Chicago or the Citadel?

Like many here only did like 30-40 minutes, but seems decent. To think this was the most anticipated game of the "next generation" is a little weird in hindsight, as so far it's nothing special. Could be something great waiting in the wings. Gameplay is totally GTA/Sleeping Dogs/Hitman Absolution. Characters so far are straight out of Hitman, too. Aiden even sounds and acts like a cross between Max Payne and 47.

Should you get it? Yes, for sure, it was the first next gen game we saw. But i think it won't surprise us like Wolfenstein did, which i think most of us expected to be mediocre and instead got hit in the face with a masterpiece.

To be honest not sure why Ubi felt the need to make Watch Dogs...they have nice portfolio, what possessed them to make a GTA? Must have been a dare or a craving :D

Sorry i didn't notice this post man. You already sold it? That's too quick hahaha, should have given it more of a chance, it ain't that bad!

It's not that bad in terms of technology but at first blush recent releases like Wolfenstein and Ubi's own Black Flag do look better.

Gameplay is straight up GTA/Sleeping Dogs/Hitman Absolution, but i think i said that already

    • Poll: Grand Theft Auto VI price predictions, cast your vote by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe After years of waiting, Rockstar will be solidifying the launch date of Grand Theft Auto VI with the launch of pre-orders next week. While the studio has confirmed a date for this occasion, it is yet to attach a price to the highly anticipated game. So let's see what our readers think it will cost at launch. The Grand Theft Auto VI pre-orders will kick off on June 25 for digital and physical editions. Unless some last-minute changes happen, the release date will be November 19, 2026, across Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. Unfortunately, there's still no information about a PC version from the developer or the publisher Take-Two. Now the question becomes, how much will Grand Theft Auto VI cost at launch? The game is predicted by some analysts to be the biggest launch of an entertainment product ever. With the amount of hype that has been built behind it and with ballooning development costs, Take-Two may price this Grand Theft Auto entry differently from other AAA titles. The current price of a AAA game is $69.99. That norm almost rose to $79.99 before calming down. But with such a massive release, Grand Theft Auto VI may be the game that pushes the boundary again. It's also possible that Take-Two keeps the price relatively low to increase the number of players that jump in early and keep them hooked on Grand Theft Auto Online to spend on microtransactions for years to come. Keep in mind that the below poll is asking for a prediction of the standard edition price, not a deluxe or any other special edition that Take-Two will introduce for additional benefits. Also, there is the chance of the company splitting up the campaign and online portions. If you think that will happen, put your vote on what you think will be the total cost of the two. Poll Poll: How much will Grand Theft Auto VI cost? $59.99 $69.99 $79.99 $89.99 $100 or more Submit Vote If you have a very specific prediction in mind, sound off in the comments below.
