What does that have to do with anything ? They're still promising something they can't deliver in the time they say, and anyone who would research or ask the factories would know this. Well actually you shouldn't trust the factories they will over promise and under deliver. and if you don't pay attention will claim you don't need to do all the necessary unit testing and component testing, which would be a recipe for disaster.

and with the background the people in this project have, they know this.

And why would I be buying a product from a company you just compared to a physically challenged person... that was a terrible comparison. They're more like the junior league peewee team with little training.

How do you know that they cant deliver?? its too early to say... even if they slip date its acceptable and unless you are a backer you have no reason to be concerned....

I said like blaming a physically challenged... and if you look at all startup these days they are physical challenges in these competitive world... Its a metaphor and not to be taken literally.. damn!

You can add on around half a year to that date, if they are as far along as they claim. if they're as far along as it seems....

If it takes that long, it will be ridiculously obsolete by time it launches.

Just look at the Raspberry Pi. Now that you buy them in quantity, they seem pretty dated.

BEcause I have a slight clue how long and what it takes to get a product from prototype to actual production, and they're not even on prototype yet.

Have you been following the Kickstart for OUYA? They do have working prototype. The only change to the design is the addition of the ethernet port.

Let's not forget that they seem to have lots of help from nVidia.

OUYA says:

Thank you for your support during our Kickstarter campaign. You will be one of the first people on your block with an OUYA - super cool! Your belief in our dream took us from prototype to reality, and you?ll get to revel in that success a month before OUYA roles out to the rest of the world. Thank You!

In September, we?ll send you a reward survey so you can reserve your OUYA username. We thought we?d give you a few weeks to think about it ? we know creativity takes time.

When we launch, you?ll have a FOUNDER EMBLEM forever emblazoned next to your username.

Also, in the beginning of 2013, we?ll be sending you another reward survey so you can provide your shipping information ? this is where you?ll input your official ship-to address and clarify any special shipping information.

BTW, international backers, if you forgot to add the $20 for international shipping, let us know by dropping us a brief email at [email protected].

All my best,

-Julie

    • And none of them have a "notchless" 3:2 OLED screen, for which I was always willing to pay more.
