How do you power your Xbox wireless controller?

I have P&C in one and regular rechargeable in the other. My P&C battery pack is somewhat weak now but still goes through 4-8 hrs.

i've got three rechargeable battery packs and i keep one in the battery charge stand and just rotate it out when one of the other two controllers needs charging ;)

Same here. I have at least three of those charge cables stuffed in a drawer somewhere, but I can't even remember the last time that I had to bust one of them out. The charge station always has at least one fresh battery inside, so having to swap is never a painful affair (except for in games like Dark Souls that don't pause when your controller battery dies ;)).

As for the battery packs themselves, they seem to last decently long for me. My Xbox 360 gets probably about 2-3 hours/week on average, and I can usually go for a few weeks before having to swap a battery out. Ballpark numbers, but my experience with those battery packs has been positive overall.

I use the play n' charge kit. My PNC kit is white though, which looks a bit odd when I have the MW3 controller and that's black on the back.For the record, I didn't get it because I like COD, cuz I don't. I got it because it looks good :)

You should always use wired or rechargeable batteries / kits if you want to be sensible. Buying AA batteries all the time is a) bad for the environment and b) a waste of money.

When i had one i used the charge and play batteries however, i no longer have a 360 and use the USB controllers on my PC

I use the chargeable battery pack. I've had the same single battery and charger for nearly 4-5 years, and I still get long hours of play off of a single charge. I'm lucky I guess. Never had to replace anything with it.

4 pk of energizer rechargeable batteries, 2 in the controller, 2 on the charger ready to go :)

AA batteries. Rechargable if I have some ready to go, regular in a pinch.
