That looks thoroughly ridiculous. Probably quite enjoyable, but as with all things - I will wait and see if it gets past season 1 before watching.

I gave it a chance... It's as thoroughly ridiculous as it looks.

If you like the idea of watching a goofy rock-star like Da Vinci do things he almost certainly never did and in ways that are absolutely improbable, along with fabricated romance and intrigue, you might like it. I gave up on the first episode when Da Vinci was towing someone on a medieval glider behind a horse carriage and laughing whimsically and manically to a metal guitar riff.

Mind you, I've stuck with Grimm for two seasons, so I'm not above watching some goofy s***. This is just a little too goofy, and a really far out interpretation of Da Vinci.

I'm up to episode 4.  It gives me some Sherlock Holmes (Downey Jr) vibes at times.  I like the puzzly nature of it.

It's odd hearing Frenchies speak in english accents but you get over that quickly.  I think it's an entertaining embelishment of various Da Vinci "greatest hits"

I will certainly make it through the season, given the short length.  Glad it has been renewed too.

ok so.. this is the 2nd season correct? Do I need to go back and watch the first season before trying to get into this one?

Season 2 starts right where season 1 ended, basically a cliffhanger.  You could try and piece things together but I think it'd be best to watch season 1, this show isn't one of those that has stand alone episodes like the cop shows out there.

Blasphemy !!!

(though i have yet to watch the new episode)

I just think Da Vinci in this show, is ultra crafty.  It has a bit of a MacGyver feel in that respect but has all the cool period costumes and action that Game of Thrones has.  I must admit I only just watched all 3 seasons of GoT so I missed the hype boat when it was roaring forward.  I suppose it's pointless to compare given the complexity of GoT.

Yeah, I just watch the new episode, and you are right.  It feels exactly like Game of Thrones.   ;)

If the whole season is like that it would be great.

GoT, Vikings and DaVinci,    all entertaining shows..  Game of Thrones started out very good with the first season,  and it looks likt the Vikings and DaVinci are both improving significantly from their much more modest first seasons.

ok so was excited to watch it. Turned on Season 1 Episode 1 with my wife and we were on board... then there was a bunch of gay sex.. lol yeah my wife said turn it off.  So does this happen through out the entire season? Or is this something that we just need to get past in the first episode?
