All the Scientologists had better brace themselves: Paul Thomas Anderson?s ?The Master? has been moved up to a release date of September 14th. It was supposed to come out on October 12th. No reason given for the switch, but I?d guess that with all the talk about Tom Cruise and Scientology, and former members coming out of the woodwork, The Weinstein Company figured ?better bring it now.? This is also right after L. Ron Hubbard?s grandson denounced his memory, other Hubbards have split the group, a mysterious death has occurred (the son of the missing leader of the cult, Alexander Jentzsch), plus lots of coverage everywhere.

No matter what anyone says, ?The Master? clearly deals with a fictional sci fi writer played by Philip Seymour Hoffman who develops a ?belief system? similar to Scientology. It?s quickly labeled as a cult. Also, Hoffman?s character is criticized for ?making it up as he goes along.? Joaquin Phoenix plays a drifter who becomes enamored of Hoffman, then turns on him. There are high expectations here for Hoffman, Phoenix, Anderson and the film. This should open the floodgates for more horror stories and give the Village Voice?s Tony Ortega reams to write about. I can?t wait.

Scientology Movie ?The Master? Gets Raves After L.A. Surprise Screening

Paul Thomas Anderson?s ?The Master?? said to be based on the story of L. Ron Hubbard inventing Scientology?got a surprise screening the other night in Santa Monica. Guests at an American Cinematheque screening of ?The Shining? were told to stay and see a new film. Apparently they got an eye full. After the screening, posts on Twitter and the imdb.com message board for the film were unanimous in their rave reviews.

The comments are consistent with the trailers, which look like a Paul Thomas Anderson movie as told by Terrence Malick?very dreamy and imaginative. Philip Seymour Hoffman, Joaquin Phoenix and Amy Adams all got high marks, and there is much talk of awards, etc.

?The Master? opens on September 14th, but first plays the Venice and Toronto film festivals. Hoffman, who?s already won an Oscar, will wind up competing with Daniel Day Lewis, who won his Oscar for ?There Will Be Blood,? an Anderson movie. DDL stars as Abraham Lincoln in Steven Spielberg?s movie about the Civil War president. That will also make at least three men in the awards season with three-part names?PTA, PSH, and DDL.

    • I really wonder if this has to do with the built in VPN or "private DNS" of browsers that trip up legal requirements like cookie consent and Cloudflare (to avoid all the botnet attacks we get). And BTW some botnets still manage to get past Cloudflare, we are constantly having to tweak it to block malicious traffic that ultimately cause a DDoS.
    • CPPC states can also be messed around with in most UEFI settings but aren't as robust as the ones that the Windows Scheduler can provide! Make sure you look into what your motherboard also has before customizing for the Windows Scheduler.
    • My issue is I can't access the forum on mobile if the site is set to Desktop mode on Vivaldi because it can't complete the Cloud flare am I a bot check! I know this is a Vivaldi issues as it has started happening on all cloud flare check sites, it's so annoying, I've reported it but no fix yet.
