It's been five years since Rush Hour 3 last brought together Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker's Lee and Carter, but CraveOnline has learned that another adventure is in the works. They caught up with producer Arthur Sarkissian who says that the sequel is moving forward with the involvement of both stars and that a screenwriter will be brought aboard very soon.

"I'm trying to do it closer to how I did Rush Hour 1," he told the outlet. "More down to earth. More gritty. Introduce two new characters and make it real the way the first one was. I personally was not happy with the third one. I thought 1 and 2 were very good. I think 3 got out of hand a little bit. It's not a matter of just bringing them back to do another segment of that or a sequel to it by putting them in another city and having them bicker. I don't want that. I want something new."

Though there's no current commitment from director Brett Ratner, Sarkissian says that his involvement is not out of the question.

"He's more than welcome to do it," says the producer, "but he's got to do it in the right way."

Sarkissian's vision of the project involves putting Lee and Carter in a somewhat of a different genre than the previous films, a move he credits Fast Five for inspiring.

"They kept the characters," he says of that franchise, "They took them and they put them in a whole different world. They put them in the world of a heist movie and it worked... Maybe Chris is now married. Maybe Jackie is married to Octavia Spencer. I don't know. Married to Chris' cousin. They live in Shanghai. Chris goes out to visit them... I want something energetic."

I disagree... The more movies the better.. In order for a movie to be "bad" in my opinion it has to be on the level of the spoof, "Not Another Not Another Movie".. That is bad. Otherwise, its rare for me to find a movie actually bad.

Bring this one on!

They showed a marathon starting Friday night here in Jamaica. Rush Hour 1 (Friday), Rush Hour 2 (Saturday) Rush Hour 3 (Sunday). I enjoyed all three, but nothing beats 1, it was the best, not to mention the memories it brings back.

If they are gonna do a 4, it needs to have some real meat behind the story, the thing with Kenji in 3 showing up was kinda too unnecessary and close to the character Lee. Of course, the usual subject matters whether its ancient treasure, sting operation/heist/drugs bust must be scrapped. You need to look at something more current affairs. I would propose the look into Internet Scamming, Terrorism and Corrupt politician and Prostitution. Make sinister and funny and Chris better come with some Michael Jackson moves! :)

If I remember correctly, he retired from his foreign action movies. Not the Hollywood style ones such as Rush Hour.

He didn't even really say that. He was basically saying he can't do the big stunts anymore because he's getting old and his body can't take it. He's still is doing international films, and in China he's been doing more serious roles for the the past couple of years. http://jackiechan.com/news/1892882--Jackie-Chan----quot-I-Am-Not-Retiring-From-Action-Movies--quot-
