So, where is this new Facebook app for IOS that was promised in JULY?

Recommended Posts

Be grateful your getting an updated app at all! Chances are us Android users will be waiting months/years/never to get it after the iOS version is updated! so be patient, there are people far worse off then you

Yeah, the Android version horrible. Between slow load times an horrible battery drain (Yes, it drained my batter BAD... ran numerous tests to prove) I had to uninstall. Now I just use a bookmark from chrome.

The android version sucks monkey nuts. I use friendcaster instead, much faster and simpler. (Didn't mean to come and troll this topic, just saw it in mini spy. So forgive me if it seemed that way)

Unusable? I use my FB app daily on my iPhone, works fine.

I'm reckoning you're one of the very few. All types of loading screens and errors reported by friends and others alike.

There TONS of sites that reported back in June, about the facebook update coming "next month" meaning July.. I was just wondering the other day, when that update was going to happen

Company said a few months ago a brand new, working, faster, facebook app would be released in July. August 11 now, still no sign of it. Typical FB?

They did not state a month or a date. I have no idea where you got that from. In fact, I'm pretty sure Facebook didn't even confirm the app. It was a report in one of the American papers (either The New York Times, The Washington Post, or The Wall Street Journal), citing information from sources familiar with the company's plans.

A date or month was not confirmed by Facebook.

Also, this is not typical Facebook. When have they ever announced a month or date for a product and then not met it? I can't think of any instances, and I don't think there have been any.

WP7 Still lacks Toast notifications in their FB app so shush =P

Actually, toast notifications are available in the official app (not the one integrated with the operating system but the one you can download from the Marketplace). They exist in it, but they don't seem to work very well :p

Stop your whining ... lol. Facebook is free. Be grateful for anything they give you.

They earn money from advertisement which is viewed by us. lol.

Anyway, if the current Facebook for iOS worked fine, we wouldn't have wanted a new version.

Mine on iPad keeps on crashing whenever I try to logout.

    • Sorry I mean your back rest on your Herman, can you move the back say 2cm then lock it? Then realise 2cm isn’t enough and you want an extra 1cm then lock it into that position? Basically like in an older car seat, you turn the knob round until you get the back recline precisely where you want it, this is what I found the Herman wouldn’t do
    • WTF? I am not taking a video of myself to access a site or to create an account. What are they thinking? I don’t even have a webcam on my main desktop PC. The powers to be are really looking to normalize the taking of pics or submitting ID for everything. I afraid most people will end up just going along with it.
