Lawsuit against Rockstar Games

?There is no credible evidence that violent games lead to violent behavior,? he said. ?While video games may provide a simple excuse for the teenagers involved in this incident, responsibility for violent acts belongs to those who commit them.?

That says it all.

I love it--they've even named Wal-Mart as a defendant---for selling the game. Jeez people, might as well blame the company that poured the pavement at the Wal-Mart parking lot for letting people enter the store!!

lol, if they knew who did that, I am sure they would have sued them too ;)

Thompson has made similar claims in the past and lost, notably a $33 million lawsuit against video game makers stemming from the 1997 school shooting near Paducah, Ky., by a 14-year-old boy.

So, he lost and is now trying to sue again over an even larger ammount! Good lord! Does he even percieve the concepts of precedence? :s

That was the first time I ever hit anyone seriously and not in a joking manner. Yes, it was because of the game; there's always going to be some people that respond to entertainment like this, just like some do to certain music. This game has also made me fantasize about running up and attacking my professors.

*I* can - but I bet those kids can't

Those kids are dumbasses. They probably are troublemakers to begin with and have parents that don't give a rat's ass about their kids. Kids go out and do something stupid, and they say it was the games...when in fact is was their own damn fault.

When will the world realize that you can't make money off of everything?

When the world stops *getting* money for bogus lawsuits.

If the legal system were to crack down on these bogus lawsuits, then ppl would stop trying to get money from them.

Simple as that.

ohh come on... There is ten times more people coping murders in movies then in video games.. A lot of murders get there inspiration from violent movies, shouldnt we sue all movie companys that have made violent movies? This is getting out of hand, there are maniacs that copys anything.. You cant avoid it, lets ban all games, movies and music to save two peoples life....

LMFAO! how stupid can you be? f them man. money won't bring their stupid loved ones back. i give no respect to them because they're just money hungry a-holes. i hope those kids get sentenced to death so i can **** on their graves. i'll just say i got the idea from postal 2

    • Exactly. They won't go 100 because current gen consoles are simply too old for any groundbreaking graphics or gaming experience otherwise. They will go with standard (console) price 70 or go with 80 if they really want to go premium. Of course they will have more expensive options too with some useless cosmetics as always.
    • Doesn’t surprise me at all. God is light & He gave us life so it sounds almost logical that we would therefore emit a certain amount of light.
    • This is what I want. Hey Gemini, how do I remove you from all my google products permanently?
    • I would never install install this build before rtm process. only 3 months to go. never install on your daily devices. just wait 3 months.
