I have a mate who has pretty much the same machine as myself.

It bugs the hell out of me when I go there because it runs 10x slower than my machine.

I eventually decided that I'd go over and have a looksie around.

I pull off the case and what do I find.

A rather large spider living in it with a nice big web.

Secondly I cant make out any part due to the layers of dust.

Ok not a problem. I clean that away.

I look about as you do, about to put in a 420mb hdd that I had laying about in an old 286 and I find there is already a hdd in it not connected. I plug it in. Works fine.

Right now I'm slight amused by the whole situation. A friend from a few years ago (self proclaimed computer expert) built this machine.

I cleaned up the heatsink and fan only to then notice my mates got a 233 underclocked to a 200.

Very amusing afteroon :)

Well first im wondering if hes an expert how did the pc go to that sort of hell.

Secondly its cool coz he just got a new pc :p

Oh. my mistake. The person who built the machine is not the owner of it. The 'expert' built this for my friendm and well my friend thinks you turn it on/off .. thats it :)
