What F2P is everyone playing?

Aion isn't really a grindfest anymore to be honest, they fixed that a while back. Population is decent as well, and there are a lot less bot spam than when the game first released. It's actually probably better than WoW's bot-spam to be honest. Only thing that's bothersome a bit with Aion is leveling up an alt. Not exactly as much fun re-visiting the zones. That's why I found it hard to get back into when I came back to the game. It's interesting though how the classes can play out though, breaking traditional ideas of who's allowed to tank and such.

Agreed, Aion's definitely not bad for a freebie, still play it off and on, it's a lot better than it used to be and a lot of fun. Just need to keep in mind that it's a PvP oriented game if you're the "carebear" type of player.. first time getting gang raped by a group of enemy sorcerers is an "interesting" experience.

DDO's not too bad either, but that one is a lot more limiting on what you can do as a free player.

Aion also suffers from 60 hotkey syndrome...

DDO isn't bad either, no doubt. The puzzles in their games are pretty cool too, I thought. They run by Turbine now, as I understand it, and Turbine's cash shop is always in your face, just like in LotRO. :s

Never played and I will never play a F2P title: I find the idea stupid, the content mean, the "economy" behind it insulting. I want to pay for my games, games I can own on my computer and that's all.

I used to play Allods which at the time I thought was excellent and the graphics were superb for a f2p. I still talk to a few people that play it and apparently it has a decent community now and they have loads of in-game events and stuff.

I beta tested Allods and LOVED it!! Problem is once you got high up, you had to really buy things or you couldn't progress. It was a great game starting out though.

Same thing with Runes of Magic... If you want a REAL WOW clone, Runes of Magic is it hands down.. Overall fantastic game but cash shop heavy. Even for mounts you had to pay back when I played it.

Let me know if you find one though, I may go play with ya. I have been thinking about getting back into MMO's

I have a boxed copy of Runes of Magic that I never installed (Gifted by the same friend that is gifting me Guild Wars 2), I have a voucher for lots of free stuff along with a lot of free Diamonds. I just never took the time to check it out. As for Allods, I've been keeping an eye on it. It looks like a very polished game, but have been skeptical about end game being too cash shop heavy. It'd be awesome to have someone to team up with though, so I'd be awesome if you wanted to play together :) Which game would you prefer?

Team Fortress 2 is F2P now for the most part, but I've been playing it since launch.

Same here. Over the years I'm gotten burned out on it. Though the new Co-Op Mann vs Machine looks interesting.

    • This is weird. Mythos is more unrestricted compared to Fable. Technically it poses more risk!!
    • This is a great thing, I always have issues with Verizon while inside of certain football stadiums due to the saturation and walls blocking signal so a LOS way to connect would be great. Verizon was supposed to be offering sat data this year but I've not heard a word of it lately. Dude is sending rockets into space in a cheap manner, low waste foot print and has a great product with solar/battery tech. We would be so far behind China right now if not for him and a push to get back into space.
    • illegally? Proof of that? Seems you are posting misinformation or well a pure straight up lie cause there is zero proof of such a thing. But I get it...
